A Promise

Sonata's POV:

I was relieved when I know her that's she's okay, though not in a perfect condition. I only made in time, just before those hounds were about to eat her to fulfil their hungry belly. Somehow, I blamed myself for what just happen to her, I know I should have accompanied her, though I'll not be able to enter the audience hall. Seeing her condition, laid weakly in my arms, my blood started to boil up in anger.

"Take her to the twins." as I ordered Hairstylist to do so, I gently handed her over to Hairstylist's care. At the same time, I took out another dagger, turning my gaze to the heap of monsters at the front, as if they want to savour their prey right away.

"Gonna give the monsters some payback for what they've done to her."

"...I'll be coming soon. Don't act rashly on your own." as Hairstylist said this, turning his back and started to walk towards Scarlet and Laison.

"Heh--- Now... shall we get into the clean-up right here?"

Tightening the dagger in my hand, I dashed right into the group of monsters, simply throwing out 5 daggers around me, using my magic skills; ShadowBlade Slaughter. The monsters started to pay their attention towards me, as they started to regroup and attacking me from every side. Leaping from my right, just before the monsters were able to touch me, I used my Ultimate: Incandescence and throw another five daggers to the other sides before recalling back all 10 daggers combo into my direction. As my daggers nicely cut through their flesh, they directly turn into ashes but that was not the end of it. To be honest, I expected that only a few Shadow Wolves would come here after all the commotions in this area, but to think that the random portal started to open up as well, this really is a worst thing that could happen at the very worst timing. Cursing myself of not thinking of this kind of possibilities, I tightened my grip on my precious dagger. This time, a siege of the Shadow Wolves dashed towards my direction as I continuously performing my 10 daggers combo one after another.
Slightly exhausted, I accidentally let my guard down for a while when a Shadow wolf suddenly appeared from my back using its skill; Shadow movements. Unable to react exactly at the right time, I braced myself to be injured by those sharp claws but somehow the pain that I was waiting for does not seem to come true after all. The Raven knight came just at the right timing. His daggers imbued with his magic deflected the coming attack from me as well as destroying the body of the monster that aimed me just now. I sneered at his presence;

"What a right timing, Hairstylist."

"My apologies. I assume that there should be only a few Shadow Wolves around here, so it must easy for you to do most of the clean up..." as he slightly bowed, taking his place to stand beside me in the middle of the battle.

"Yeah... I don't expect too many visitors when it is already close to my bedtime---" Sonata smirked in displeased.

"So... You're going to do it hard way huh?"

"What do you think?~ I guess they will be pleased by that quick deaths though."

Nodding in agreement, Hairstylist focused his gaze on the upcoming attack from those Shadow Wolves. Right before we engage those monsters upfront, I murmured at Hairstylist;

"Don't get hurt too much, you got it?"

Hairstylist chuckled a little, as if signalling that those words should be said to me instead of others. I quickly throw my gaze towards Laison and Scarlet who has been staring worriedly from a distance before step into another clash with the Shadow Wolves.

"This going to take some time..." I quietly murmured to myself.
