"Hush now, quiet now, go to bed you sleepy head." he sang into my ear, maniacally ending with a wicked, yet quiet, chuckle. His breath reeked of alcohol. D'Marcus always drank. I opened my mouth and licked his hand.
"Gah!" He jumped back off of me and wiped his hand in the dark. The street lamp came on and I saw his dark eyes.
"Marcus..." I whispered. "W-what are you doing here? I thought you went home." I whispered frantically rubbed my throat where he had grabbed me.
"I did. But I wanted to come back and tell, you somethin'." He sat back on the bed and grabbed my foot. I jumped and took a glance over at John. I hope that didn't wake him. He was over towards the edge of the bed, all sprawled out and long. "You looked stunning tonight, babe. Like fire." He laughed a little as he started playing with my toes. Even though I was under the covers, it still felt too close for comfort. "I so badly wanted you to set me ablaze." I shuttered at the thought of us 'doing the deed'. His hand migrated up to my calf and I jerked my leg back towards my body, and he crept up towards me.
"Marcus, you need to stop. You're drunk." I sat up more towards the headboard.
"Why...you know you want some." I could tell he was set out for something. He grabbed my arm and breathed on my face. He migrated to my ear.
"I can't wait. Three more days 'till my payment." His right hand stroked my hair and he trailed his finger down my neck. "But, guess what..." he sniffed my hair. "I want three times what your givin' me." I slapped his hand away because his trailing hand was about to squeeze something that wasn't supposed to be squeezed. I pushed him off of me.
"I can't get you three grand!" I half whispered, nearly in a full talking voice.
"You got me close to your face, didn't you?" I felt the sting of his truth.
"I-I didn't ask for it though-"
"I know you miss me. Miss my touch, don't you?" He ran a hand through his black hair. I shook my head, and Marcus moved like molasses, inching his way towards my face again. He took my hand and kissed, before gently kissing my cheeks. His kisses were scary and long.
"S-stop..." I begged a tear ran down my cheek. "Y-you're drunk."
I tried pulling back but he only put a gentle reminder of his hand on my throat. It felt like hours, or days before I felt a stir beside me. John sat up and asked,
"Jay...? Who's tha-!" He realized what was happening and he shoved Marcus onto the floor. I heard his head hit my bedside chair.
"What the fu-!" John leaped on Marcus with surprising speed and I could hear knuckles being clashed against skin. I just hoped it wasn't John's skin.
"You son of a bitch!" I heard Marcus exclaim. "Get off' me!" He launched John onto the side of the bed. He stood up and John's face in the light looked beat up. Marcus's face was the worst cut, though. He backed out towards the door.
"Three grand, Jade. If it's not there by Friday," he glanced at John, "I'mma kill yo' black ass and Great Britain's too!"
