Third Person POV
The reluctant, yet sleepy, Doctor woke up and rubbed his eyes. It had to have been 6:15am. As he sat up, the memories of a few hours back came flooding back to him and he began to weep again. Dang it, feelings. He thought. Stop crying so much! He got up and looked at the bed. It was made up. He looked around frantically and started to pull out his sonic but stopped when he heard the bedroom door open.
"G'morning, John." Jay said from the doorway. She had gone running a bit earlier and he couldn't help but look at her. Her arms were strong and were beginning to shape in a muscular design. She was also beginning to show a four-pack and her legs were strong looking too. He blushed.
"D-don't stare at me like that..." she awkwardly said putting her hands on her hips, trying to hide her smile. As she moved towards her room's bathroom, the Doctor looked at her rear and whistled. Jay turned around and smirked at his efforts. When the door closed, he jumped up and ruffled his hair. He had to think of something clever to do with her to make up for everything that had happened. He looked into her dresser's mirror and examined his lip. It heeled over night, but still was a bit sore. For a human, a cut like that would've taken about a couple days. He straightened his suit and smoothed it over with his hands. Maybe dinner? He thought. Or a movie...no we did that already... He sat down in the chair near the closed bathroom door and heard water running. She's taking a shower...He gritted his teeth.
Maybe a...no. He wanted to do something special with her, he really did, but he just couldn't think of anything special. Maybe it can just be something simple. He thought. He glanced over at a painting of a lake with a field with the biggest moon in the background on Jay's wall. He looked closely and saw a small signature.
'Verra-Ghee'
She paints too. He thought and melted inside. Then it hit him. "Of course." he whispered to himself. "Of course!" He said nearly in a speaking voice. "A night under the stars..." He glaced hopefully at the painting again.
~~About an hour later~~
Jay and the Doctor walked down the dark stairs and into a dark dining room. Again, the events of last night came hurling at him. He shook his head and Jay grabbed his hand. He looked down and she smiled at him.
As they walked towards the door, he asked, "Why are we leaving so early?"
"I don't want to hear my mother's mouth, plus I really needed to get some stuff from my old room. I didn't have enough sanity left with me to come back and get them..." she squeezed his hand and looked up at him hopefully, "until you came along...so thanks for that." She wiped away a tear and opened the door and walked out to the Honda. She opened the door and threw a gym bag into the back seat.
The Doctor sat in the driver's seat and and Jay sat in the passenger's side. As he drove (because he wanted to), he noticed Jade looking out of the window with her ear buds in. He felt sorry for her as they drove along in the early morning. The sun was trying to peek over the looming trees, it's pink-ish red rays wanting to dance out over the blue-violet skies. He opened the sun roof and cracked a window to let the cool, autumn air flow in.
After about a 45 minute ride, they arrived at the apartment. Jay got out of the car after John did and took her headphones out. "Thanks." she said quietly. "I'm glad you remembered the way." she smiled.
"I-it's no problem." he commented back. He reached down and pecked her cheek. They entered the house and sat around in their quiet drama, and left to their own devices. After a really good lunch and dinner, the Doctor ran to Jay's room and knocked on her door saying,
