"Large black coffee." I rushed to get what I was doing done. I shouted out, "One moment sir!" After finishing my current task, I quickly make the coffee. I placed a lid on it and speed walked to the register. After that I set the coffee down on the counter and calculate the price of the order. After getting the price I spoke brightly, "That'll be $3.25." I had finally looked up to see the customers face. Gold piercing eyes, pitch black hair, and olive skin. "Hello?" His raspy voice brought me out of my trance. "I'm so sorry sir!" I instantly apologize and grabbed his payment. After putting it in the register I give him his change. He chuckled and winked, "It's okay cutie." He left and I blushed furiously. I sighed, "At least I'll never see him again." I was wrong. He had come in everyday.

I had discovered his name was Eric. It had been a week since he started coming in. He smiled his pearly white smile as he greeted me, "Hey cutie. The usual please." I giggled in return, "I would think you would've learned my name in a time span of a week." He then chuckled, "I do indeed know your name Jocelynn but, my name for you is cutie." I blush profusely. I squeak out, "I'll have your coffee ready in a second." After getting his coffee, he sat down in the shop. I was surprised to watch him stay there until the end of my shift. As I went to leave he stopped me.

With a soft voice I asked, "Yes Eric?" His gravely voice erupted from his throat, "You, Me, Date." He began to walk and I followed while giggling. The date went amazing and there were many more to come. Almost weekly dates for three months. He asked me nervously, "Be my girlfriend." I just smiled and nodded in return. He leaned down and kissed me for the first time. I slightly choked as I spoke to everyone in the room, "I-It's been over a year since that day." Tears slipped down my face in front of everyone. I wiped them away and then looked at Eric with a smile even though I was crying. "I will always love you Eric and you will continue to be the love of my life." My tears became heavier as I sat down. The priest spoke, "Now please bow your heads and pray as we close Mr.Nelson's casket and leave to transport him to the cemetery.
