Superhuman (Elton Castee X Reader)

Dinner gone wrong.

Once the car pulled into it spot I could tell this is going to be awkward. We walked in at got a table in a secret room. Is was only us six and the waiter every now and again. It was definitely a Romantic setting plus the boys all yelling over each other killing the mood set. I could've swore we were louder than people out in the public room. "So (y/n) do you have a boyfriend back  at home?" Kat asked which resulted in everyone shutting up. My face burned a deep crimson. "N-no. I don't. I don't  really talk to people often." I said looking down. "Well you talked to us with no problem." Corey says and I smile but as soon as I go to say something someone else buts in. "Yea you talked to them with no problem." The voice said. We all looked at the door way, Elton's ex. "She said she was with you." The waiter next to her said. I felt a pain in my chest. It looked as if we all went to say no at the same time but Elton answer was different then what we all were going to say."Yea she is. I invited her." Elton said. I felt my heart sink even further. It felt as if the acid in my stomach was able to dissolve it. Why do I feel this way? It shouldn't matter what he does. It shouldn't matter what he say. But why? Why does it hurt this much? She came up to the table but just before she got to the table I got up and left the room. I walked outside and sat in the closest bench. How dare he invite her! I thought this was a date. Wait a second. Is it not suppose to be a date and I blew it out of portion? I mean Elton did say it was but was that to only spare my feelings? Sam walked up to me. "Um hey."
"You don't need to act like that, Sam."
"Like what?"
"Like I'm an injured puppy." I said looking him in the eyes. He then looked down. "Sam, I'm sorry. I. I didnt mean to hurt you." I said softly. "But you were right." He said still looking down at his feet. "What do you mean?" I said then he looked me in the eyes. "I was looking at you like I would an injured puppy." He said with a look I could explain. I softly smiled at him. "It wouldn't be the first time I've gotten that look." I said. I felt a warm hand wrap around mine. I looked at his hand then looked up to the sky. It was a beautiful shade of blue. The way the stars sparkled made me feel at ease. Or was that feeling Sam? I wouldn't know the difference. I haven't had many people there for me. I looked at Sam and smiled. "Thank you Sam." He smiled at my words. "But of course m'lady. I couldn't let a girl be upset." He said in a joking voice. "This means a lot to me though Sam. I never really had anybody besides my parents." I said to him in a completely honest voice. He smiled brightly at me. "Hey! I just got an idea. How about we get back at him?"
"And how do we do that, smart one?" I asked. He pulled his hand out of mine and pulled out his cell phone. He dialed a number. He then mouthed to me 'trust me. This will work.' Then the other line picked up. "Hey bro. I need a favor... Thanks bro. I need you to dress up and meet me at this address.... I need you to be a date for (y/n)... I thought you would act like that. Be here as fast as you can be. See you soon." He said then he hung up the phone. "Colby will be here as soon as he can." Sam said then stood up and held out a hand. "Ready? I won't let anything happen to you. Promise." He said smiling. I trust him. I felt safe with Sam. He's like a brother that I've always wanted. "Yea, thanks." I said and grabbed his hand so he could help me up from the uncomfortable bench. "That bench has me all sore and we only sat on it for a few seconds." Sam said stretching. I chuckled and pushed his back to make him walk to the door. "Get inside you weirdo." I chuckled at him. He also laughed. As soon as we walked in he told him that we are expecting another member to our group. The waiter nodded. As soon as we walked into the room I saw that my seat was taken. She was just clinging to him like a wet shirt would. Sam scoffed and pulled me to seat next to him. The other seat was empty then it was Elton after that chair. Next to Sam was of course Kat, then is was Devyn and Corey. It was really nice minus the awkwardness I felt since my 'date' was stolen from me. After a few minutes of the awkwardness I felt I started to loosen up until the waiter came back with drinks and Colby. He was wearing a really nice white button and black dress pants. "Why are you here?" Elton asked. "Well I couldn't let a pretty girl like (y/n) be by herself, now could I?" He smiled and walked over to the seat next to me. Elton looked hurt. He looked down at the drinks placed in front of him. We order our food then the waiter left. "So (y/n) could I have your phone number?" Colby asked. "No you can't." Elton answered before I could. "You're not (y/n), Elton." Colby snapped back. Elton looked taken aback. "Sure Colby. Here." I said holding out my phone showing my number. "Oh can I have it too?" Sam asked me. "Of course!"I smiled. After Colby got the number he handed it to me and I passed it to Sam. Elton looked hurt but how was it fair to me that he was acting that way? Maybe I'm just being petty now. But it's not like I'm groping them like she is doing with Elton. I just gave them my number and one of them is in a relationship so it shouldn't matter. "Hey can I get your number too?" Kay and Devyn asked at the same time. We all laughed. "Yea go ahead. If all of you want my number go on ahead. I don't really mind." I smiled at them. "Awe you're just so cute (y/n)!" Devyn said. Sam passed the phone to Kat as Devyn smiled like a nerd. After a while everyone got my number but Elton's ex which I was honestly happy about. When we got our food we all ate silently. Sam was the first to break the silence. "So (y/n) do you want to film a video with me and a few others?"
"Who's going to be in it?"
"Well Kat will be, same with Corey, I also invited Jake and his girlfriend."
"Hm it sounds fun. I'm in."
"You won't be saying that for long." Sam mumbled lightly. "Uh nevermind."
"No take backs. You're stuck now my friend." Sam chuckled. "I did the same thing, (y/n)." Corey said taking the last bite of his food. I looked around and everyone was done eating. "Welp I guess we all should head out." Elton said standing up. We all followed suit. "Elty I got dropped off can you give me a ride home?" I heard from behind me. I looked back to see him look at me and Colby walking side by side. "Sure. I have some stuff I have to take care of while we are out. Are you okay with that?" He asked her. "No." I mumbled he didnt hear it but Coby did. He wrapped his arm around my waist. He then glared back at Elton. I knew what that glared meant but I don't think Elton understood. Colby was glaring because he knew  I was hurting. I didnt realise how much they cared for me. "Yea I fine with that." She said. Colby scoffed and rolled his eyes. "Come on (y/n) let's head home. You can stay in my room." Colby said loudly pulling me to his car. He opened his car door for me and I slipped in. He ran to the other side a slide in himself. "Were you being honest about letting me stay in your room?"
"Of course. I don't want you around Elton if he's going to be acting this way."
"What way?"
"Like a selfish child." He said looking me in the eye then he looked to the back window to pull out. The trip was silent. It was comfortable though. Until I got a text.
Sam- you're not off the hook my dear (y/n) we are still making the video tonight
I looked at the time. What would we be filming at 11 at night. Then I thought harder. Oh God no.
