Upon waking up, I decide to avoid work and concentrate on my second date with Niall.

Things had started getting a little awkward yesterday at work with Jack.

Regardless of him saying he didn't need any details, he still decided to grill me about Niall.

I had just about finished packing away some gear that was left out from a photo shoot. It was a glamour feature for the magazine, so there were feather boas, glitter sticks, even fake eyelashes. All the models looked fantastic in their sparkly dresses and suits. I loved being part of the process of dressing the models and staging the back drop for the shoot.

Anyway, while I was putting the lid on the last box, I heard the door open. Turning my head, I saw Jack walk in, so I gave him a quick smile then turned back to what I was doing.

"Hey, so I'm glad you had a great time with Niall but, I feel I need to remind you, as a friend of course, to be careful." He said, as he stood next to me.

I laughed.

"Thanks, but I'm okay. Niall is a very sweet and caring guy. I had a wonderful time with him last night and I can't wait till I see him again." I replied, in a matter of fact tone.

"Okay, okay." He replied. "I just don't want to see you get hurt. I mean he's still a popstar and probably has loads of girls hanging off him." He warned.

"Look, whilst I appreciate your concern, I am fully aware of Niall's status and his popularity. Don't worry, I have my eyes wide open and I have no expectations. Besides it's just a date." I replied, trying to end the subject.

Jack's face relaxed a little, seemingly comforted by my words.

"Okay, I'm glad." He said, suddenly pulling me in for a hug, catching me completely off guard. He had never hugged me in all the time I had been working here.

He smelt amazing, his strong arms around me as I awkwardly patted him on the back and broke free of the embrace.

"Ah.. I gotta go. See you tomorrow." I said as I quickly grabbed my bag and rushed out the door, hoping my heated face would be cooled by the outside air.

Now as I lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, I was starting to feel like Jack might be jealous which was a ridiculous, as I'm hardly the type of girl he would go for.

Also, doubts were starting to creep into my mind, why would Niall be interested in me. He's a rich, sexy superstar and I'm just a regular girl, nothing spectacular.

Sighing, I got out of bed and pushed the curtains open to admire the view of the coast out of my window.

Hearing my door open, I turn to see Lizzie, dressed in her work clothing.

"Why aren't you dressed?" She asked, tilting her head.

"I'm skipping work today and called in sick." I replied, not making eye contact, taking an interested in my bed sheets.

"Ah, I've seen that look before. Has Niall asked you out again?" She asked, squinting her eyes at me.

"Maybe." I said, fixing the covers on my bed, trying to hide the big smile on my face.

Next I knew, Lizzie had wrapped her arms around me, we started jumping up and down around my room, screaming.

After a few minutes, Lizzie let me go and stepped back to look at her watch.

"Shoot! I have to go otherwise I'm going to be late. But I am so happy you are seeing him again. EEEKK! " She squealed, giving me a quick hug before disappearing off to work.
