pov: mae's

location: at school

time: 12:30 pm

ever since i bumped into that guy in the hallway, i have been trying to hunt him down... not in a creepy way, i'm just casually following other juniors to try and find him. i sit down at lunch and a few seconds later i feel a hand on my shoulder.

"what the fu-" i snap my head around to see riley standing behind me.

she says nothing and drags me away from the table.

"bish, what do you want?" i laugh lightly as i see her mischievous twinkle in her eye and her sly smile.

"well... you know that guy you bumped into in the hallway?" she watches me as my eyes widen.

"how could i forget!"

"well i asked my sister and she said that he was in some of her classes..." she drifts off.

"you told her?!" i whisper loudly not trying to draw any attention from anyone.

"no i just said that lucy wanted to know who he was," she shrugged her shoulders.

"who's lucy?" i ask confused.

"exactly," she roll her eyes.

"his name is jake, he is a junior, and he's also having a party this weekend!" these words tumble out of riley's mouth so fast that it takes me a while to comprehend what she just said.

"and i'm going to get talia to sneak us in!"

"oh my mother freaking god! i love u," i hug this angel and we walk back to our lunch table, receiving a few suspicious and few glances from our friends.

it was friday night and like every other friday night, i was sleeping over at riley's house. 

"ok, so we need to start picking out an outfit for tomorrow night!" riley practically yelled at me.

"kay." 

"well you need to get your ass out of bed then!" riley grabbed me by the legs and dragged me out of bed.

"ow. bitch get off me!" i laughed.

after going through every item of clothing in riley's closet we realised how dismal our style was.

"welp..." i flopped onto the bed and turn on netflix.

"yeah, we really need to go shopping tomorrow," riley chuckles. 

we begin to watch the 100 and end up going to bed at 1am

i hear a distant mumble coming from somewhere around me. i stretch my arms up and begin to open my eyes.

"mmm..." 

"mae! get up!" the words become clearer this time and i realise that it is riley. i roll over and see her standing over me.

"whaaat," i groan.

"it's 10am get your ass up!" she yanks my arm.

"fine!" i clamber out off the safe, warmth and comfort of the bed and get up.

"what are we having for breakfast?" i ask.

"nothing, we will get breakfast there."

"where?" i am immediately confused.

"the mall! do you ever listen?" riley looks at me sounding exasperated.

"ohhhh...." i soon realise that riley is already ready.

she looks really pretty, wearing a bright pink brandy melville top with some pacsun mom jeans which i swear are mine. she also has a matching pink scrunchie on her wrist and has butterfly clips to clip back parts of her light brown hair.

riley flops onto her bed while i pick out an outfit and get ready. i go to the bathroom and have a hot shower before going back into riley's room to grab an outfit from her closet. to be honest we share our clothes, she steals some of mine and i steal some of hers so i guess it's fair. i end up going with a pair of light wash mom shorts and a oversized t-shirt, which i tie. riley then braids my hair for me and we do some light makeup before forcing talia to drive us to the mall...
