5 minutes late

I sat on my bed waiting for Eric to pick me up for our six month anniversary date we had planned over the last week, but as usual he was late.

10 minutes late

Another five minutes had passed and there was still no sign of him anywhere.

20 minutes late

"Hey, are you almost here?" I had texted him.

30 minutes late

I had gotten no texts, no calls, not anything.

1 hour late

I had given up on waiting and changed into comfy clothes, trying to hold back the tears of being let down. If it was any other date I wouldn't have minded as much, but it was our anniversary dinner.

3 hours late

I sat in my bed watching a movie and eating small snack trying not to think about the current events and the fact that I still haven't heard a word from him.

6 hours late

I had come to the conclusion that I wouldn't hear from him and decided to go to bed as it was after midnight. I tucked myself in, trying not to let a few tears fall and began to drift off to sleep.

I was awakened by a loud knock on my door. I checked my phone to see it was 1:34am and I also had 22 missed calls and 43 texts from Eric.

I slowly made my way to the door while slipping on a hoodie. After hours of waiting Eric was now  standing at my front door.

"Y/n I'm so sorry. Things had come up and I couldn't leave and..." Eric frantically tried to say as I cut him off.

"Please. Just save it. I'm tired and I waited long enough without hearing from you at all. You could've at least texted me." You spoke quietly, wanting to leave this situation and go back to bed.

"I know. I should've told you earlier, I'm sorry." Eric grabbed your hands, craving for forgiveness.

You just sighed and pulled your hands back before whispering a soft "goodnight" and closing the door, heading back up to sleep.

You woke up the next day and checked your phone to see hundreds of messages from Eric's friends and a few from Eric himself.

Please come see Eric he feels awful about yesterday  -Kevin

Weren't you a little harsh to Eric, he said he couldn't even explain -Hyunjae

Eric locked himself in his room and won't come out, please come talk to him I'm worried -Jacob

I understand why you're upset and can't forgive me, but please just hear me out -Eric

Those were some of the few texts I read before deciding to get dressed and head to Eric's dorm.

I knocked on the door only for Kevin to open it. "He's still in his room" Kevin smiled sadly as you nodded and headed back to go see him. You knocked softly before hearing a soft "leave me alone hyung, I'm fine".

"Eric, it's me. Please open up." You heard light shuffling before a messy Eric opened the door and you went to sit on his bed.

" Look y/n. I know I really screwed up yesterday and I can't forgive myself for it, but we had practice late and then our managers wanted to have a meeting that also took a really long time, so I couldn't get back to the dorm until really late and I missed everything and I'm so sorry." Eric rambled on. You slightly chuckled knowing you shouldn't have been as harsh on him as your relationship is more important than one date, a date can be made up, but you could never find anyone to replace Eric.

"Why are you laughing? You're mad aren't you?" Eric sat confused.

"It's okay, we can have a date another day. Things happen and people get busy, I understand."

Eric smiled before pulling you into a hug and singly loudly, "y/n isn't mad at me anymore" over and over before you finally got him to stop and the room was filled with laughter because of his silly behavior.

"How about we make up the date right now, I'm not busy today." Eric finally pulled away from you and starting to choose an outfit before you pulled him back down, "Or we can just stay here, watch a movie, and cuddle." You suggested.

"Okay I'll go make popcorn!" Eric ran out of the room before you could speak.

"He's crazy, but I'm so lucky to have him." You laughed, slightly shaking your head before looking for a movie to watch.
