chapter 2

The week was very busy with me packing and trying to make sense of who my family is. I think Susan knew something was up but didn't say anything just watched. The night I was leaving for Juilliard I kept giving some more beer so he would pass out sooner. When he did I grab my suitcase and my plane
I was just about at the door when I saw Susan. She had a sad look in her eyes but I wasn't too happy with the way she let her husband treat us. " come here Skye give your mom a hug before you leave". I come over and I do give her a hug. " please be safe I am so sorry with how the way we treated you".
" here you had this when you are a baby I wanted to give this back before you leave for good". Susan reached into our parking to go to necklace. I kind of remember it. My father gave it to me for my last birthday with me. I know this was a locket I opened in it had a picture of us in it. " I also found this skye and I want to give it back". 
She also handed me a diamond bracelet that my brother gave me that. " now I know we you have to go bye love you skye." I went and gave Susan another hug. Walking to the door was painful because this life is all I have known. I couldn't tell Susan I loved her back because I lost that love for her and Sam a long time ago.
Sky had to walk to the bus station since she didn't have a vehicle. The airport was about 45 minutes away and the bus is usually on time. Juilliard College is in New York and that is where my classes start on that coming Monday. Sky saw the bus as it came barreling down the road.
It was a tree green color but it was covered in mud. The bus came to a stop and Sky got on paid the fee and went to find a quiet spot. There was a handful people in the bus. There were a couple who were smiling and looking at each other. There was a mother with her three children. Then there was a man who smelled like he had a lot of beers sleeping in the back.
By the end I was the only one left on the bus that airport is always last stop. There was a lineup going into the airport as I got off the bus and headed for the doors. This was my first time flying so I was a little nervous. The plane ticket says we are leaving in an hour and I have a window seat.
I took out one of my books so I could read as I waited for the plane. I was never allowed a phone so I can only use clocks for payphones until I have enough money. It was a call that the plane for New York was boarding.
Skye grabbed her bag before she handed her blanket ticket to the flight attendant. " have a nice flight." "Thanks". Skye went down the tunnel and went on the loud plane. My seat was in the middle and I had a woman and man sitting with me. I grabbed my seat handles as we did take off as the rumble of the plane. I fell asleep an hour into flying. I was wondering in my sleep in the room next to me shook me awake.
" we're about to land and your whimpering in your sleep". " thank you for waking me up". Open the window and looked out at New York and the big city. I got the baggage claim with no problem and I grab the suitcase. Now the problem is getting a ride to the college. Skye had some money left to get a taxi.
She fled down a taxi and told the taxi driver to go to Juilliard School of Music. The drive was peaceful there was a lot of people with awesome buildings there's also a lot of trees to see. The drive took about an hour to get to the college with all the traffic.
" thank you so much for taking me". " no problem ma'am". The taxi left as I stood there staring up at the white building. I walked into the main building to pick up my key to my room on campus. I just knew I needed to talk to them about my whole social security thing.
Explain to them that I was kidnapped but I got away from them now through am I was full of all kinds of different people. I waited in line until it was  my turn." Hi there I'm looking for my dorm key and talk to someone about my social security problem". " okay what's your name?" " Skye Patton". " here's your key and you'll meet your roommate shortly". 
" the reason for your other problem?" " I was kidnapped and when I was playing for the school I didn't know. I only just found out when the school phone to find out what was going on". " all right that clears that all up now the best of all wishes for you and your classes". 
I was on the 7th floor so I had to take an elevator to get there. As far as everyone is trying to get all of the rooms too. The dorm room with pretty big it had a bathroom two beds, a mini fridge. My roommate was already here and unpacked a couple of her things. Sky put her things down on her bed and took a look around.
The door dringle does is being unlocked. Girl about her age came in with strawberry blond hair and a brown eyes.  "hi there I'm Jenny I'm your new roommate". "nice to meet you Jenny I'm skye". " I can see us being the best of friends". Sky just smiled thinking of finally making friends with someone. 
"I would love to be your friend". I also knew I need to keep quiet about the whole kidnapping thing who my family  are. Tomorrow after class I'm going to go to the police station and tell them everything I know. I just hope that the police will believe me. I'd also like to hire a private investigator so they can tell me more about my family.
