The view of Pandora was definitely something, especially the new purple scar it had emitting some weird purple substance. I was only drawn away once I heard my Echo start to go off.
Jack (Echo): "Hey, Arix, stop star gazing. I got some people coming over by shuttle and there's a couple doors going off the fritz, mind fixing them before they get here? Thanks!"
Arix: "Sure thing, boss..."
I activate my digi-gloves and proto-eye heading over to the landing bay. Worker bits and Claptrap units ran around the place to ensure everything was running smoothly but when it came to the important stuff or robot repair they have to call on the only human aboard. The door was an easy fix, just a new fuse and rewire and it was good to go. Just in time for me to watch a ship land which I wouldn't have cared about but the fact it had Dahl on its side made me suspicious enough to call it in.
Arix: "Uh, Jack? Arix here, quick question, are these 'guests' you mentioned Dahl?"
Jack: "No... Why?"
The ship's doors open letting a squad of soldiers out while more and more ships came into view.
Arix: "Ah welp... We may be in trouble."
Soldier: "Hyperion! Take him out!"
Arix: "Oh crap!" I ran behind cover as bullets flew over my head, "Jack! Activate lockdown!"
Jack (Echo): "Already on-zzt-et some where sa-zzt-meet-zzt-ault hun-zzzzzt..."
Communication cut out. Was that a malfunction or... No they couldn't have been that fast to disrupt systems. Either way I had to get out fast and luckily I had the perfect distraction... And by that I meant a rocket just crashed into Helios taking some of the guards out and getting the other's attention. I quickly grabbed one of the dead guy's guns and ran into a room locking it behind me.
Arix: "Get a summer job they said! It'll be fun and help pay for college THEY SAID!"
As I begin to regret every desicion that's led me up to this point I walk around trying to find a way back to Jack. I looked through live footage to find the best route just for it to be ruined by soldiers trying to break in, in a panic I did what seemed reasonable at the time. Scream and run. I had a gun yes but I'm a repairman, not a fighter. I took the closest door out of the room to see soldiers shoot down the worker bots and claptraps.
Arix: "Oh that's a lot of work I don't wanna do..."
Soldier: "Hyperion, over there!"
Arix: "Not again!"
I hid behind a railing shooting blindly over it as I was terrified of raising my head. Fortunately I had some kind of guardian angel looking out for me as who I assumed were Jack's guests came in shooting down any Dahl in there way assisted with Jack.
One came charging in with two drones and shotgun in hand blasting away soldiers with a smile.
