Seth's POV

''Who... who wrote this?'' I asked Jaxon, averting my eyes to Jin laying on the ground. His sobs were growing louder at the second, Jayce held him tightly in his arms. I had what it seemed like a million questions... Why was Jin crying? Who wrote the note? Everything was happening too fast...

''What happened?'' I asked. Jin's sobs got louder as I asked the question, holding tightly onto his father. Jaxon glanced in my direction, taking the note from my hands.

''When we arrived at Jin's home... it was torn apart. Books thrown carelessly, tables thrown... We went to check on his mother... she was dead. I won't describe the condition she was in... but this note was on the tip of the sword.''

I couldn't help but grow angry. Yet again... another person dead. Because of me. I wanted to save her in the first place... am I destined to kill people? It seems like it... I was angry at myself. I was angry at whoever this was. It definitely wasn't Jules, he is a human and in a different dimension. It cannot be a human in this dimension... nobody knows I'm the son of Lucifer.

Suddenly, the girl next to me began walking up to Jin. She had a sympathetic look on her face, her dark brown eyes seeming to be a softer shade. The blood on her face was gone, I figured she wiped it off before she left the kitchen. She kneeled down next to Jin and Jayce on the floor, taking Jin's hand in hers.

''Magdalene... what are you doing here?'' Jin asked, sniffling afterward. Huh... so that's her name.

''We will talk about it later, okay? We have to go now...'' She said softly, bringing a hand to his cheek. I watched as his face heated up, a blush coming to his cheeks. He nodded his head slowly, pulling himself out of his father's grasp. He stood up from the floor, his eyes puffy and red. His jaw quivered as he attempted to speak, but he finally got the words out.

''She's right. We are obviously in some sort of danger... so let's go.'' Jin said, motioning towards Jaxon. I wanted to comfort him. I wanted to tell him I lost my mother too, I know how bad it hurts. Even if you got the bad end of the deal, in his case caring for her all of his life... they are still their mother. It really, really sucks. In this world, you can't seem to stop to grieve.

''Everyone, be prepared for when we return. We may be confronting something that is bigger than us... they may know what we are doing. Plus... Elena said the kingdom is rioting much more, but it shouldn't be anything too severe...'' Jayce said to us. What would they be rioting about? Maybe it was because they haven't seen me in a week... Jules is too scared to do anything.

Maybe.

Jaxon clasped his hands together, that brilliant yellow coming to his eyes. He thrust his hand forward, creating a bright yellow portal in between us. I couldn't help but look over to Magdalene... She was looking at the portal in shock. After a year of being something beyond her knowledge, she's finally going to be in the world she's been forced into. I can't imagine how afraid she must be right now... how she doesn't completely understand it. I know I was scared when I first found out I was Lucifer's son... but I had help right away. She didn't.

''Magdalene, don't be afraid sweetheart. It will be a breeze.'' Jayce said to her.

I'm more afraid of what is on the other side.

I watched as Jayce took Jin and Magdalene's hands, guiding them into the portal. She had a calmer expression on her face, but I knew it would take some time for her to get used to it.

''Seth.''

My eyes met Jaxon, who had a serious look on his face. He slowly walked up to me, placing his hands on my shoulders.
