Seth's POV
We spent the morning in the Kingdom, clothes shopping for Nebi. Of course, we all had breakfast together first... Nebi said he wanted chocolate chip pancakes. Jaxon gladly made them for him... even though he didn't really like pancakes.
We let Nebi pick out his own clothes. At first, he wanted us to help him- which we did. We would pick out some outfits for him to try on... though he didn't have to get them, of course. We wanted to help him try to find his style. Though he was only six years old and a growing boy... we think it's best he gets the clothes he wants. He's never had nice things by the sounds of it.
He finally decided on some darker clothing... which amused me. He told me that he wanted to look just like me... and he liked the way it looked on him. He decided that he wanted to wear a black sweater and black jeans out of the store.
''Hm... Who's this bundle of joy?'' The lady behind the register asked me, an amused smile lingering on her lips. Nebi was holding my hand as Jaxon paid for his clothing- we bought him quite a lot.
''This is Nebi... Say hello, darling.'' I whispered to him. He looked up at her with a sheepish smile, waving at her with a free hand.
''Hello!''
She let out the longest 'Aw!', placing her hands on either side of her face as she gazed down at him. He had the biggest smile on his lips, his deep dimples shining proudly.
Next, we tried to get him into the barber shop. He demanded that he kept his hair long- he didn't want it cut. After attempting negotiating with him... we finally agreed to not cut his hair- We would simply put it up when it was needed.
We walked through the Kingdom hand and hand. Nebi held my hand along with Jaxon's- I couldn't help but notice how happy he looked. Yesterday he looked cold and scared... but today was a new day.
I didn't know quite what we were going to do with him... though Jaxon and I discussed it last night once we put him to bed.
''He's such a sweet boy... His mother is really missing out.'' Jaxon mumured as we gazed at him through the doorway. We tucked him in the blankets- he was already fast asleep.
''Do you think his mother will try to find him? I don't think it's best he goes back with her...'' I asked him. He instantly shook his head no, his still crossed tightly across his chest.
''Definitely not. Abandoning lycan children isn't something new... they do it all the time. I'm thankful that she didn't kill him...'' He muttered. I felt my eyes widen at his words, gazing at him in shock.
''Well... what should we do?'' I asked. A smile suddenly lingered on his lips as he gazed over at Nebi, his eyes flashing a yellow.
''I think it would be best if we kept him, Seth... He's already attached to us, He's a sweet boy... I think we would be the best caretakers for him.'' He admitted. I won't deny that I thought about keeping him... but are we fit to be parents? After everything that happened, considering who we are also... are we ready for that kind of thing? We still get night terrors in the middle of the night...
''I... I don't know about that, Jaxon... He is rather calm yes, but...'' I started.
He placed his hands on my shoulders, forcing me to meet his eyes. He placed a soft kiss onto my forehead, running his hands up and down my arms in an attempt to comfort me.
''I think Nebi would be good for us, Seth... Yes, we are still struggling with the past... but he could help us move forward. He not only needs us... we need him.'' He whispered to me.
