Personality: Iris is a dreamer who loves animals. She's very compassionate if you get close enough to her. If not, she can be very shy, and to some she may come across as cold. She has a curious soul, but that of a broken one as well. She's been hurt greatly, which causes her to occasionally be disturbed, but she tries not to show it. But, why does she feel this way? Who hurt her? She just can't seem to remember. She'll continue to try to find out though. The saying does go, "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back." doesn't it? She hates being alone, so perhaps she'll find someone to explore with. She has mixed feelings about her hallucinations. They terrify her, but at the same time, they're quite intriguing. She likes the rain, as it calms her, and not just listening to it, standing in it, full on drenched. She also has mixed feelings about heights, they give her a feeling of excitement, yet petrify her at the same time. She can be quite intelligent, and she has a fondness for studying creatures.
Likes: Animals, being comforted, singing, rain, exploring
Dislikes: Being alone, lack of freedom, her hallucinations, being underwater
Fears: Being alone, fighting back, not being able to breathe, heights, Jameson's Angel
Thoughts on the situation: She feels fearful about the situation, and questions cloud her mind. How could she be dead? Why her? Why did they take away her memories? Who is she?
Quote: "It's not the bruises that hurt, it's the wounds on the heart, and the scars on the mind."
Theme song: My Immortal- Evanescence
Roleplay example: Water seemed to suddenly tear through the walls, and fill up the room. "I've got to get some sort of control over these hallucinations." Iris thought, annoyed. She tried to wade through the water to get to the door, but the trek seemed to be impossible. With each step toward the door, it only got farther, as the water became deeper. It was up to her waist now. Iris wasn't afraid of water, she loved the calmness of it. She was afraid of not being able to breathe. She waded towards the window, just when she felt herself being lifted as the water rose. She continued swimming, and when she finally arrived at the oriel, it wouldn't budge. She sighed in exasperation. She thought maybe she could scream, but she knew if someone came to help, they would just find a girl full of insanity standing in the middle of her room, screaming for no apparent reason.
She gave up. All she could do was wait. Wait for the hallucinations to subside. Wait to drown. Wait to die. The water suddenly rose above her head, and filled her nose. She closed her mouth as a reflex, but she knew that wouldn't last long. Maybe this was a time to reflect. "Why were these hallucinations so specific?" She thought. " Maybe this is something that happened when I was alive." Iris questioned. "Ha," She chuckled slightly, "My life must've sucked."
Her lips suddenly parted, and water immediately filled her lungs. It felt like they were burning, as she flailed her arms and legs. She clenches her fists and tries to hold on a little bit longer. She tells her body to stop fighting, it only makes it worse. Eventually, she's able to listen to herself, and she calms. She slowly sinks to the floor. Once she arrives, she holds her legs, waiting, wanting this all to be over. She lay her head on her knees, as she inhales the water. Her eyelids flutter, before closing completely.
She feels absolutely nothing. It's calm, really. A certain emptiness that allows her to be alone with her thoughts. She usually hates being alone, but this is... nice.
She's snapped back to reality when she hears a knock at her door. When her eyes open it's perfectly normal. No water, no far away door, no drowning. She's perfectly safe.
The door opens. "Sorry to bother you, but I heard noises." A voice said.
"I'm perfectly fine." Iris lied with a smile.

*BACKSTORY*
Name: Iris Harper
Parent's Names: Kevin & Mary
Relationship with parents: Iris's father is deceased. He was killed by Iris as revenge for killing her younger brother. Her mother's whereabouts are unknown, but if Iris had her memories, she'd want her dead.
Sibling's names: Eric & Livianna
Relationship with siblings: Eric is deceased. He was killed by his father in a fit of rage and abuse. Before he died, he had a nice relationship with Iris. She would protect him the best she could, and they enjoyed playing outside together. Livianna is currently somewhere in Sweden with her young daughter and loving husband. She is Iris's older sister and always tried to distract her siblings from the abuse. She tried to inspire hope and tell them one day they would be okay. After Iris killed her father, Livianna tried to run away with her. At the train station, Iris was caught by her mother. Livianna tried to go back to her, but Iris told a member of the staff to keep that girl on the train. He obeyed, and Iris was brought back by her mother.
Childhood: Iris's childhood mostly consisted of belittlement and abuse from her parents. Often times her sister took the fall for her, not wanting her to get hurt. She and her siblings tried to spend most of their time outside, in order to avoid their parents. Her awful childhood has caused PTSD and depression. Perhaps her that's what caused the hallucinations.
Teenage Years: After being brought back by her mother, she was brought to an insane asylum on a mountain, and deemed dangerous to herself and others due to mental illness. No one had believed her when she tried to explain the abuse of her and her siblings. The nurses were no better then her mother when it came to basic human rights. This experience only added to her PTSD.
Last few years: She remained in the asylum since she was brought there. The constant horrors in that place, and memories of her childhood brought her to the edge. She had a chance to escape the asylum, and she did. Looking out upon the beautiful sky as the sun was going down, she jumped from the mountain, allowing herself to embrace the sky until she fell to her death.
Le gasp! Finally, I'm done. This was actually super fun to write, as I haven't rped in a couple months. Sorry if it was too dark. If you want to alter anything, that's not a problem! Hoped you liked it <3
