chapter 7

Kayden's Pov (Surpise -.^)

I sigh softly while scrubbing my body under the burning water trying to get rid of the feel of her soft skin against me. Ever since I pushed her against the wall yesterday I couldn't get her off my mind. The way her soft skin felt against my hand... Her small hands lying on my chest.

With another sigh I turn off the water before stepping. I grab a towel wrapping it around my waist before glaring at the foggy mirror. I open the door to be hit with the cold air coming from inside. Goosebumps liter my arms and legs making me shiver slightly.

I notice my wolf pacing inside of me. Deciding to just shrug it off I walk over to the closet grabbing a pair of black jeans, a simple t-Shirt and a pair of boxers. Walking back out I lay the clothes on my bed.

After dressing myself I grab the towel and I rub it over my head effectively drying it along with making it look a mess. Shrugging I drop the towel in the dirty basket and I exit my room going downstairs.

Looking at the clock I notice it's now 2 in the afternoon leaving 3 hours to finish getting ready for the ball at 5. I look around the living room noticing how silent it is. I furrow my eyebrows and decide to mindlink Tony.

'Hey where is everyone?'

'Oh Alpha... We are outside in the front of Alpha Jameson's house... Hes punishing someone...' I notice the anger running through the mindlink instanstly making me perk up as to what could upset Tony. He isn't the type to get mad easily.

'Ill be right over...'

'Yes Alpha'

With that I cut the mindlink off and I go grab my shoes. I grab my car keys before quickly shutting the door and running down the driveway towards my car parked at the road.

I hop into my car but before I can turn it on I feel my wolf howling inside my head instantly giving me a migraine. Groaning I grab my head bending over to lay my head on the steering wheel. A few moments pass he finally stops howling and just growls angrily inside my head.

'What's wrong Jaxson?' I whine picking up my head.

'Mate!! Go to Mate!!!' He resumes to growl lowly.

'Jessica is in trouble?' I furrow my eyebrows and I turn the engine on.

I wait for a response before realising he was too busy in his own thoughts to even hear my reply. Sighing I drive down the road towards Jamesons house. The drive should take about five minutes.

Jaxson roars again inside me and I feel a slight stinging pain in my back. I grunt and rub the spot confused as where the pain came from.

About three more minutes and alot of weird pains in my back I finally arrive at Jamesons house. I get out locking my car before walking over to the crowd gathered around someone.

"You worthless Bitch. Answer my question!" I hear Jameson growl out angrily before the sound of a whip and I collapses on my knees groaning as if I was the one who was hit. A scream echos through the air before I realise I wasn't the one to yell.

"Alpha!!"

I look up seeing my pack surround me instanstly helping me up from the ground. I smile at them in thanks and I look towards the crowd trying to figure out who screamed.

"I... Can't..."

My eyes widen and I finally understand the anger that my wolf is giving off. My body instantly feels hot and I run towards the crowd shoving my way through.

I look over to see Robyn tied to a wooden post with welts all over her body. I see blood running out of where some of the welts are. Jamesons's air raises again to bring down the whip that I notice has spikes on the end which is where the torn skin and blood has come from.

I growl loudly and I jump in front of Robyns body. I growl out loudly when I feel the whip hit my chest ripping the skin. Blood trickles down my chest and stomach but all I can focus on is Robyn's nearly unconscious body.

"Alpha Kayden?!" I turn my attention to Jameson whos looking at me in complete confusion.

"ALPHA!!" James yells out to me.

"Ka...Kayden?..." My eyes widen slightly and I turn around towards Robyn. I bend down to her level seeing her panting with tears, blood, and sweat all over her face. "Why did you do that?"

I don't respond to her as I notice shes finally passed out do to the pain. My wolf goes into overdrive and starts whining and whispering for his mate wanting me to scoop her up in my arms to get her the help she will need.

"Alpha Kayden what do you think your doing? Your the reason she's even in this mess." My eyes widen at what he says and I whip around and standing up to face him.

"What are you talking about?" My body slightly shaking at his accusation.

"Well I was waiting for her after the mall. She comes home late and wearing a guys shirt. Which I don't own and smells like you. So I asked her why she was wearing it but she refused to tell me. So I can only assume she's cheating on me. Mates aren't allowed to cheat on eachother. So would you mind telling me why you two were together?" I hear a gasp echo through the crowd and my pack mates look at me with disappointment in their eyes.

"While we were at the mall a group of 3 rogues had attacked. Robyn had taken all of them on before I was even able to get to where she was. Her best friend had came to get me telling me that she was fighting them. So in honor of our peace agreement I decided I should go help out. She had killed one of them before I arrived and I killed the other two. But because of having to swiftly shift she didn't have any clothes to put on afterwards. So I lent her my shirt." I tell the lie easily while gritting my teeth in disgust at him.

His eyes look at me as if trying to find out if I was lying but not being able to see anything. His eyes look over towards Robyn.

"Then I guess her punishment is over. If she would have just told me that to begin with she wouldn't have been punished." He walks towards her body but I block his path to her.

"You won't be leaving with her. She needs to go to the pack doctor." My wolf fights with me trying to get control and kill the man standing before me for touching Robyn.

"What are you even saying. Shes my mate I have every right to leave with her if I want to." I open my mouth to respond but I feel a hand on my shoulder. I glance to my left seeing James standing there shaking his head.

Realising I can't do anything as no one knows she's mine. I squeeze my eyes together before nodding slowly and walking back towards my car not glancing back at Robyns unconscious body.
