Summary: You accidentally bump into her, spilling her coffee all over herself.

You were running late for work. It didn't help that you had missed the bus and had to practically run to your office. You made the mistake of looking towards the side and the next thing you know, you collided with another person. "I'm so sorry! I wasn't looking. I'm running late for work but I promise to replace your shirt." You helped her stand up and handed her your card and a bunch of napkins from your purse. "Please call me to arrange something." All you got was an 'okay' before you rushed to work.

You never actually expected for the woman to call so it surprised you to answer the phone with her on the other side. "Hey, is this (y/n)?" You confirmed and she continued. "Instead of you getting me a shirt, I was wondering if you could instead get me a new coffee. I need to have my daily coffee and thanks to someone I've been at work without my caffeine fix." You were embarrassed about crashing into her in the morning but it didn't stop you from agreeing. "Perfect. Meet me at the same spot you spilled the coffee on me in an hour." You couldn't help but groan loudly as she hung up. Looks like she wasn't going to forget the coffee incident for a while.

You took your lunch break early and walked to the coffee shop. You weren't exactly sure who to look for but then spotted a woman wearing sunglasses waving at you. You made your way over and took a seat in front of her. "It's nice to put a face to the woman who spilled my drink." You blushed brightly and gave her a small smile. "Sorry about that. I was running late and the only time that I looked away was when I crashed into. I'm (y/n) by the way. It's nice to meet you." She took off her glasses and waited to see if she could notice any sign of recognition in your eyes. She was surprised and managed to hide it well. "I'm Katie. Nice too meet you too. I took the liberty of ordering our drinks and some snacks." "Oh! Thank you. I'm actually starving. So where were you heading? I didn't make you late for work did I?" She couldn't help but laugh at your question. Once she noticed that you weren't laughing, she sobered up. "Nope. I have a pretty flexible schedule." You smiled and was suddenly intrigued about what she did for living. "So what do you do? I can't imagine having a job as amazing as that one." Katie tried to hide her shock but she had failed this time. "What? Did I say something wrong?" She snapped out of it and shook her head. "No. Not at all. I was just wondering something. I actually work at a tv show. The schedules tend to be very different at times but they are quite flexible on when you arrive and such." You were curious about what show she was talking about but you knew that you wouldn't recognize it. Your job was demanding and it hardly gave you a chance to watch tv. "So what about you? What do you do?" She asked as she thanked the waiter for bringing your order. "I'm actually the head of HR for a company. I actually just got promoted so it's been a bit of an adjust but I'm grateful for the opportunity." She congratulated you and the two of you spent the rest of your date talking about each other. Much to your disappointment, your lunch break was about to end and you needed to head back to work. "Maybe we can do this another time? I would love for you to join me for dinner." She said after you had paid for the meal. "I would love to. Just send me the time and place. I'm looking forward to it." You were surprised when she pulled you into a quick hug but didn't say anything as she walked away.

You headed back to your office and took the liberty to look for her online. You didn't know what to think as you realized that you had a date with Katie McGrath.
