In the blue expanse, a being stirred. But its disturbance was caused by one greater than itself, one that rippled through the very fabric of existence. As the Plane of Thought settled back into its eternal place between the worlds, the being looked into the distance, although it had no corporeal body and was a part of the very world it inhabited.
"Something has changed," the being said into the air, if air was even present. "Someone has been born with power."
The being paused, as if listening, but only silence greeted it. Another ripple passed through the Voidlands, and crashed against the Plane of Thought. The being nodded, so strange for one with no head. "Undoubtedly, someone with grand power to rip into the Voidlands, and another with the power to bind it all back into balance. Their battle will be inevitable, and may result in the ruination of everything, and the birth of something new."
The worlds were silent for a long moment, and the being settled back into its place, wherever that may be. "Yes, something new and dangerous is indeed coming," it said sleepily, and it went silent, once again an indistinguishable part of the Plane.
