secrets and lost truths

I tried to translate it the best i could. Firstly, I wrote it at my native language, greek ;)

PROLOGUE

When we were young, in winter, our mothers were telling us stories about the creation of our world. Their full of love words were sleeping us and we didn’t pay attention in the meaning of these words. Next to the fireplace nothing seemed real. But as we were getting older we were paying more and more attention at their words and this kind of “knowledge “didn’t seem so extraordinary. The reality of our world. A world full of elves, dragons, dwarfs, pixies, centaurs, minotaurs. And in this absurd but also magical world, creatures named Dura live. They have several names, such as; archangels’ children or else my gender. You will find us in the woods, in the airs, under the earth or next to the sea. We are the only creatures who can connect with all the other species on our planet or our Gaea-an. And we own this at our archangels. Our souls.

When the One Creator made Gaea- an, a bazillion years ago, he made from his heart a small and hard ball. He put his blood around the ball to protect him from the evil spirits, Ouga, our forever enemies. But the blood was running and falling to nothing so he made two moulds from his muscles and his bones – one big and one small – and he put inside the small mould the ball and inside the big mould, his blood left from his body. Then he put his skin around the big mould and this is how our Gaea-an, our home.

From His spirit, the dragons, the dwarfs, the pixies, the elves, the centaurs, the minotaurs and finally us. However, when he was making us some evil Ougas attacked him and while he was creating us our soul was slipped in two. Thus we were created and from the other half of our soul, our archangels were born in an animal form.

The Wise of our tribe say that the animal form, in which our other half of our soul lives, is the mirage of our character. But the Wise haven’t solved a mystery around our archangels yet. The archangel presents at his Dura when he reaches 18 years old and that usually happens when the Dura felt a strong emotion such as rage or sadness. There have been cases when the archangel presents earlier. Only once has this happened and the will and power of this Dura was so strong that he became chief of the tribe. Maybe the strongest our tribe has ever seen. As I said, we are the only ones who can take connect with all the other genders. It is our only weapon against the Ougas, this bond with the other tribes. For example, we can speak the strange language of the dragons and sometime breathe fire, we can. We can make our skin impenetrable like dwarfs’ when we are near them, we can have wings and fly with the pixies, we can run with great speed with the elves, we can have horns like the minotaurs and take the faculty to auto cure like the centaurs. This is One’ s gift for our tribe.
