I blink rapidly to clear the darkness in front of my eyes. I attempt to use my hands to block out the light, only to find that they're pinned down to something, at my sides. I groan and shift, trying to figure out what's holding me down.
"Ah good, you're awake," a raspy voice says from somewhere behind me.
"Uh, yeah," I open my eyes fully and frown. "Oh hey, Shigaraki. Could you get me out of these... please? I promise I won't run away."
"I don't think so," Shigaraki chuckles, still out of my line of sight. Ugh. So dramatic. I would prefer it if I could see you.
I groan. "But why? I keep my promises! And I believe I just promised, didn't I?"
"Doesn't matter."
I huff. Turns out my ankles are also tied down. Obviously. I'm also standing vertically up.
This is so uncomfortable.
"Fine, if you don't accept my promises, then I won't keep them." I concentrate on a mental image of a grey wolf, focusing on what I want added.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." A different voice warns.
"Kurogiri?" I look to where the voice came from and yellow eyes form in front of me. "Oh hello."
"You're powerful, but we've got a whole league blocking your exit," Shigaraki says and I can practically hear him scratching his neck raw. "As well as Kurogiri prepared to teleport you to wherever he pleases. Antarctica's nice this time of year," he adds smugly.
I glare at him. I don't plan on taking a trip to the South Pole, thanks. Maybe it's safer to just hear what they have to say before I try and escape.
"Okay. I'll listen," I sigh and look down. "But first, untie me. It's somehow making this awkward and dramatic at the same time. So please."
"Fine."
After I'm untied, I lean against the wall and stuff my hands in my pockets. Much better.
"Right. You can speak now." I can tell he's not happy being told what to do by his own captive. Scratching his neck feverishly and grumbling under his breath. Shame. I feel bad for his neck.
"Why were you at U.A? We weren't told about you... so that must mean you only went today."
"Okay so. You know that... 'game' I told you about that I was playing with the heroes?"
Shigaraki nods as a sign for me to continue.
"Well, if I lost, I had to do whatever they said. Long story short, I lost, and they forced me to go to U.A. And now I'm stuck with the stupid heroes until I graduate." As I answer, I think about exactly what he said. We weren't told about you, huh? A spy? In U.A? Well. This is getting interesting.
"...I'm supposed to believe that?" Shigaraki says.
I blink. "Really? You... you think I would just suddenly decide to become a hero? Give up my whole life's work in a matter of days? Who do you think I am?"
"Well I-"
"No, actually, don't finish that sentence, I don't want to hear it." I scowl, clenching my fists inside my pockets. This idiot. I don't know how Kurogiri puts up with him. He's like a child.
"Fine. I believe you. But it's not like I can trust you with everything now. You are attending a hero school, and I doubt you'll be willing to act as a spy, being the rogue you are."
