Jennie's POV 

I laughed more than I had expected that night. We must have talked for hours on end. When I finally glanced at the clock, it was 9:12.

"Oh my gosh," I muttered.

"What?" Jisoo asked.

"It's getting late," I replied. "We should clean up."

Jisoo grabbed the dishes and walked to the kitchen. I followed close behind, sipping my water. Jisoo placed the dishes in the sink and started to wash them. Nothing was heard but running water and the occasional scrubbing of the sponge for a few minutes.

"So do you have a boyfriend?" Jisoo asked, breaking the silence.

I tensed. "U-um . . . w-well I-"

Jisoo turn to me and looked concerned. "Or girlfriend! If you swing that way . . . I myself am bi, so you don't have to be scared around me."

I smiled. "Yeah, I'm gay."

Jisoo smirked. "Who's the lucky lady?"

I forced back tears. "I had a girlfriend. I'd rather not talk about her."

Jisoo turned off the faucet. "Oh! Yeah, of course. I'm sorry I brought it up."

I faked a smile. "It's okay, you didn't know."

She sighed. "How about we go to bed? I have classes tomorrow."

I took a deep breath. "That sound amazing."
