Jennie's POV

"Jisoo?" I yelled.

"Yeah?" she responded.

"Could you come here?"

"Um . . . in a sec!"

I was already scared. I was mentally preparing myself for what was to come.

Jisoo walked through the archway quicker than I expected.

"What's up?"

I took a deep breathe. "There's no hiding the fact that I like you, Soo."

Jisoo sighed heavily. "It's hurting you, Jen. And when you hurt-"

"I hurt. I know, I know," I chuckled. "I'm not the biggest fan of hurting either, dude."

Jisoo laughed. "You know, I like you too."

I blushed, and my heart seemed to speed up and explode simultaneously.

"I want to get over my fear. You're a good person. I don't want to be afraid of you."

"I don't want you to be afraid of me either."

I smiled. "So what's the plan?"

We were silent for what seemed like a few minutes, but it was probably no longer than 10 seconds.

"Let's take it slow," Jisoo finally said. "We can start by walking around holding hands. Is that ok?"

My heart raced more than I wanted.

"No. Let's start smaller. How about . . . we lock pinkies instead?"

Jisoo smiled, linking her pinkie with mine.

"Of course, Jen."
