Chapter 10- The Falling

(Aiden's POV)

"Shall we find a mountain? Because we've checked in and everything. We should do a little hike."
"Okay, it's worth it after a long day," Malia replied.
I looked at Luna. She had stayed so quiet I didn't even know she was here. Luna nodded.
"Yeah," Luna muttered,"A hike, good idea."
We found a mountain, then we started to climb. After a couple of hours, we made our way to the top, meeting Seth, Holly, Hannah, Ash, Lydia, Walter and Jack they were gagged and binded. With Luke his monsters and some demigods who betrayed camp.
"Come on, Luna," Luke said loudly,"Join us. Then, I'll let your family go."
"Luna, don't. He is trying to get in your head," I said, trying to calm her down.
She put her hands on her head, Luna was breathing deeply like she was thinking. I put a hand on her cheek and moved her hair out the way of her face.
"Think, Luna. Don't betray us," I muttered and started to get tears in my eyes, same with her.
"I have to, I-I have to. Aiden, I love you... but I have to. I'm sorry."
Luna smashed her lips into mine, I kissed back.
"I love you, Luna," I whispered, getting out my sword.
Luna got out her daggers. She walked towards her family and unbinded them. I held my sword tightly, noticing my old cabin mates surrounding me.
"Brothers, sisters... we can talk about this..."
They closed in around me. Malia looked at me, worried. As soon as Seth got out of the binds, he got his spear out and slashed at the closet monster. Same with the others. Me and Malia fought side by side, disarming my siblings. Luna was on the side of the cliff battling Luke. Every monster died and the demigods fled. I ran up to Luna but Seth and Ash grabbed my arms and pulled me back. Jack and Walter also helped.
"Luna!" I screamed.
She was knelt on the floor, blood dripping down her face and arms. Luke grabbed the side of her collar and threw her off the cliff. I screamed, and started to cry. I used all my strength and breaked out. It was pouring down with rain before I knew it. Luke disappeared and I jumped down to go find Luna.

(Malia's POV)

Luna just fell off a cliff, Aiden falling after her. My sister is probably dead. Seth looked at Ash, angry.
"This was your fault! If you didn't just go to that junkyard, we wouldn't have been caught!" Seth yelled.
"Guys, I don't feel well," Walter said, but everyone ignored him.
Walter looked really pale and weak. Seth and Ash kept arguing.
"Guys!" Hannah shouted.
"What?!" Seth and Ash both screamed.
They noticed Walter. He fell on the floor, black mist surrounding his body, Walter breathed it in. He looked like he was having a panic attack. Black goo came out his mouth, nose, ears and eyes.
"Oh my Hades!" Jack made the impression of being sick.
Lydia's eyes filled with tears, she started to go back down the mountain. Jack followed after her down the mountain yelling after her. Walter jumped at Seth.
"Kill me... KILL ME! I hate you! I HATE YOU!!" Walter screamed in Seth's face. Everyone stood there, paralysed. Seth looked frightened.
"W-Walter! Stop!"
"Kill me, Seth! Kill me!"
The black goo dripped on Seth's face. Seth noticed a knife, Luna's knife, on the floor and grabbed it.
"W-Walter... Lydia... everyone... I'm sorry..."
He held the knife and pushed the knife into Walter's stomach.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." Walter said.
He sat there for five minutes then took his last breath. I took Luna's knife, a tear ran across my cheek and landed on the blade.
"I'm going back to the ship..." I muttered and did what I said.
Once I got to the ship, I placed Luna's knife on the stand next to her bed. Every night since they disappeared, I prayed and prayed for them to come back. But they never did, until a couple days later. They came back, beaten and bruised. Kind of dead.

Sorry a cliffhanger! But this will lead into another book! 🙀!!! I also have another book that came out like a month ago called The Dagger but I might delete it. Anyway the new book will be called 'The Found: Book 2 of The Hunted Series'. I would like you guys to share this as this has actually been in my mind since I was eight years old lol. Anyway, onto Book 2!!
