"Wake up Willow and Rye" Peeta said. "Were awake mom woke us up" I said. My brother and I got ready for school we ate food and left. Dad dropped us in school and all this parents came up to dad and said hi Peeta. Which was very confusing to me they also said hi to me and Rye.
I came into class and on the board it was written Hunger Games which I did not know about and the whole class did not know about. The teacher came in and said class today we will learn about the Hunger Games no one here knows about it but I will tell you. The Hunger Games are games you play in a dome called Quarter Quell.
From each district 2 players get picked one boy and one girl but each person who is not so young and not so old get pick. They first get a fingerprint from everyone and Effie Trinket the one who picks the players comes over and has two bowls full of names who lives in each district. Our last victors were Katniss and Peeta Melark. I was suprised everyone looked at me and back to the teacher.
The teacher said yes Willows parents are our Victors for 2 years straight. I was suprised and shocked how my parents were in the Hunger games. She told few more facts today like who was Gale, Haymitch, president Snow all those people who knew mom and dad.
When I got home I went straight upstairs and mom said Willow are you okay I said no. She came upstairs and said tell me what's wrong I was thinking of something to tell her in a way that I know about the Hunger games. Then I said " May the odds be ever in your favor." My mom in a second knew what I was talking about. She said how do you know this and I said I learned this in school today this week is Hunger Games week. She was quiet for a while and left the room she looked upset.
Dad came an hour later and said "where is your mom." I pointed upstairs and he went. I was waiting downstairs with my brother finishing homework. "Who are you looking for" Rye asked. I said "dad and mom." I heard footsteps and dad asked me for a moment upstairs. So I went.
Dad took me to my room and said willow yes we were in the games but we are not ready to talk about it. I said I am learning about it so why not. He said yes that we will talk about but not what happened in there for me and your mom. Okay I won't ask but I will learn about it right from you guys. Dad said yes you will learn from us soon.
Then next day at school I learned about how my parents and other people that were in the hunger games trained before the games started and they showed out there talents we also watched some videos and I saw my dad and mom they were awesome. When I got home with Rye I told my mom in a room what I learned because she asked. After I was finished she said I am sorry about yesterday I was so stupid but now I know how much you will like to learn about this. I said yeah then she said I talked to Gale and he said he would love to meet you but I also just wanted to meet my friend who is jealous of me and Peeta. I laughed and I said where is he, she said "in the forest." I said your favorite place with him she said yes that is right.
I got my bow and arrows and ran to the forest I saw him and said always the early one he said hey wow you know me well. I said not so much but it's nice meeting you he said yeah you too. I asked want to kill something he said I thought you would never ask! We tried to kill things and we were also talking about his new wife sarah. I said I know you been very jealous with my parents but are you still jealous. He said I was jealous of your parents but now with a girl and with my wife I forgot but still sad you should been my kid. I said its okay you got your own now.
An hour later he said I got to catch my train to district 2 but any other questions. I asked why don't you want to live here? He said chuckling to me to much memories will come back when me and Katniss where kids and my wife knows I know Katniss and Peeta and all the feelings I had. She agrees with me so now we live there. I said okay and he said bye and I said bye back.
I came back home and my dad and mom asked how was it, I said it was awesome and we tried to kill animals but we were talking most of the time.
My mom and dad laughed and me to. I said to mom and dad did you know that Gale is married they didn't look suprised so they know.
The next day after school mom called me and said that I won't be picking you up so go outside your brother is with his friend don't worry about him have fun okay love you. I said okay and then bye.
I didn't know where to go so I decided to just walk around then I saw the victors village. I went inside and Haymitch came out and screamed who is that? I said its Willow Mellark he said oh well hi I can't believe I can finally meet you. I said u never met me? He said no. I went to his house and we talked a lot it was nice. Few minuites after we talked mom said come home I said okay.
I told Haymitch bye and he said let me drop you it's not safe around here. So I said okay and he dropped me home. When I got home mom said hi to me and Haymitch which was very nice of her as always. Mom told me to go upstairs change and then come back soy hats what I did. Hen I came back mom was laughing with dad and Haymitch. I asked why and they said because presidents Snows granddaughter is bringing back the games.
Haymitch wasn't laughing so we all sat down and calmed mom and dad and Haymitch said its true. Mom and dad got so scared that they called Snows granddaughter and talked about the mistake she is making. She said it's not a mistake it's a good thing mom said no its not. She said why mom said your killing people. She said this is different you find the bags with everything you need and then you kill people. Mom said Sarah that's not right killing people. Then mom shut the phone and then mom said she shut it down.
The next day my teacher said now you will be expiercirng the same thing all victors or players of the hunger games felt. Everyone knows I thought then Sarah came in and said welcome kids and my favorite willow. I went to each and every district and picked a girl and boy. So everyone join us on stage in the middle of district 12. We all went got our fingerprints and sat with our parents. Sarah played the video and then she picked a girl and a boy. I was the girl and the boy was Cody, I know him.
After few minuites when everyone did the three finger kiss touch thing and I went inside mom, dad, and Rye came and said bye to me and I hugged them and said bye back. I was on the district tour with Cody who was talking with Haymitch our trainer. Haymitch said " we got to get out so we can meet district 11." I walked outside and everyone saw me and Cody. Cody was talking about how he didn't like the hunger games happening again but it is happening now he said. I went up and said "my mom and dad was in the hunger games and now it is me. I am not happy but I will tell you one thing if we all work together we can stop Sarah from doing the hunger games again. That's right I will destroy the quarter quell".
Everyone was so quite I got scared then someone said yes I will trust her these games killed so many of our people and we all thought after Snows death it's all over but it isn't. I said " what do you mean mam would you like to cooperate with me or not". She said we will be with you just because we trust you and your mom and dad. I said okay are you all with me I asked everyone they said yes.
I got back on the train and Cody said what was that I said I am helping like my family did. Who is your mom and dad. I said my mom and dad is Katniss and Peeta Mellark. He said oh sorry did not know that. I asked why did you say it like that he said because my dad is Gale Hawthorne I am Cody Hawthorne. Cody your dad said that he has a girl and not a boy.
Cody said yeah I told him to tell you that because I didnt want you to know I said why he said because you would be mean to me that my father liked your mother. Why would I be like that your dad is awesome.
Haymitch came in and saw us talking he was happy to see that. He sat with us and said I love your speech and you are so like your mother confident.
I said thanks and he said "I think we can convince the other districts too because your mom and dad agree with you". I said my mom watched me. He said yes then I said I will totally do it.
