Betty's POV
I had a plan to escape. Escape my crazy family. Escape this awful town. Escape everything that had to do with my past. The only things I had planned on keeping were my best friends' numbers and put them into a new phone. My sister Polly was pregnant too. I didn't want to be tracked by my parents. I destroyed my old phone after I transferred pictures, numbers, and the important dates onto my new one. We had did the same with Polly's phone.
"Elizabeth, It's time for school." my mother had said before I went out the door. My sister was already in her car ready to leave this town behind us. My mother had thought that there was school things in my backpack, that was not true. I had everything I needed in my bag. I also had told her I had cheer practice so I could pack more. I took a lot of her money that she had in her room. About 5,000 dollars I had took. She wouldn't notice since we are the second to richest family in Riverdale. I had went to my friends and said goodbye yesterday. Cheryl, Veronica, and Archie were the only people in town that my sister and I had trusted. I will miss them, but it is for the best that we leave.
We were on the road. We had been on the road for a couple hours now. I will never look back to that evil place again. Polly and I had both been in toxic relationships. That was the result in our pregnancies. We were forced into things that we didn't want. We didn't tell our parents about the pregnancies, we just left. They were the reason we were in this situation anyways. They had forced us into our toxic relationships. 'Elizabeth it's great for our reputation' and 'Polly you should have already had one' We were sick of it. We didn't know where we were going, we just wanted to get away.
We had finally stopped driving and found the place that we were going to live. We had ended up in Ohio. That was really far from Riverdale. We were planning on settling here, making our lives here. I was only 16, but Polly was 18. She could sign as my legal guardian. I was going to be homeschooled until next year. Toledo, Ohio was our new home. It felt more home than Riverdale so I was happy and fine with it. We had bought a house that had five bedrooms. It had only cost us 2,000 dollars. It was furnished how we liked it and it had gender neutral rooms. We had two rooms for babies for now. We were finally happy the way we are. I hope that it stays that way for a long time.
