Chapter 14

Fall break is coming up for me, so I'll try to update then as well.

Diana/Wonder woman's POV:

It felt like hours as we were constantly trying to stop them. As one fell, more would arrive. We had called almost the whole entire Justice league, but it was hardly any use.

"Diana, keep them busy and hold them here. I'm going to try to connect the watchtower connection with the connection they are using to transport the people here." I nod by head in agreement with him as he runs off. Medusa tries to follow him but I ran and grab her by the waist slamming her onto the ground.

We seem to have the upper hand, but that's when they come. Darkseid, Brainiac, Savage, Ares, and Doomsday had all appeared through the connection. Then all of a sudden it shut off. Everyone stopped what they were doing for about five seconds and all looked at them. Batman came running into the room and yelled at me, "I shut off the connection so no one else should come throug..." He never finished his sentence because he was looking at Darkseid, Brainiac, Savage, Ares, and Doomsday just standing there. "Never mind." He mumbled underneath his breathe. This was just the beginning, it wouldn't be over by a long shot.

Bruce/ Batman's POV:

After shutting off the connection they were using, I thought it would solve the least of our problems. But I was mistaken. The biggest problem was already in the watchtower and there were five of them. Some of the people that had come before had been knocked out such as Harley, Lex Luthor, Medusa, and more.

"So this is the famous watchtower?" Darkseid said as he stepped off of the platform. "I thought it would of been bigger because they are considered gods to the humans." Savage chirped in as he also stepped off the platform. They all found themselves off the platform, and I knew they weren't doing that for no reason. It was them against the Justice league and our backup. They were outnumbered by more than a thousand people, but I was still afraid of the outcome. Then it started.

Savage slammed super girl against hawk girl as he stormed through us. Ares was trying to reach Diana, and I was fighting along side J'ohn and Hal. Darkseid was shooting his omega beams everywhere. It caused the electricity to go out with too much heat inside, so the backup generator was turned on. We had an advantage because we knew our surroundings, but they were too powerful. But the real problem hadn't happened yet.

Darkseid began to throw boom boxes into the middle of the room making some of the leaguers disappear and put them in a different part of the watchtower. All of the main leaguers had trackers on every single person. The good sign was that they all kept reappearing in the watchtower. Diana had been fighting Ares when I noticed Savage was watching her. He started walking towards her, so silently but quickly I followed him. He stood behind her ready to ounce in his victim, but I did it first. I hit the palm of my hands against the side of his face causing him to move a little backwards. I got in front of him and Diana, and said, "Princess, you may want to watch your back." I said as we were back to back. She turned her head a little bit, and I could see the corner of her blue pupils. "Or we could switch dance partners?" She said as she quickly got in front of me and I turned and faced Ares. He looked at me in a confused face, like I was suppose to be dead, but I just smirked. "Round two." I said as I slowly walked up to him punching my fist against my hand.

It was like they would never stop getting back up. Whenever one would fall, another would challenge a different leaguer. In my eyes, we had two opinions get everyone safely off the watchtower and destroy it, or make them leave with Darkseid's boom box. I spoke into the com link we all had and told them about the two choices, and everyone agreed on the second choice. Of course, I had to start the plan, so I went in for the kill. As Superman, J'ohn, Hal and some of the other leaguers distracted them, I hide in the shadows, and found a straight pathway to Darkseid. I got the closest I could and threw my batarang straight at his boom box sitting on his hip. However, this wasn't just any batarang it played with the boom box's connection to where they landed, and I had programmed it to put them all somewhere where they had a hard time coming back out of. As Darkseid reached for it and held it in his hand, I yelled, "Now!" Diana and Aquaman both jammed Darksied in the back, causing him to throw the boom box across the room and open a portal to whatever place we wanted to send these aliens to.

We managed to get them all in, with a lot of manpower, except for Savage. He was holding onto the edges of the portal, and resisting almost everything we threw at him. Diana, Kal, and J'ohn were all the front line of forcing him in, Chborg and I were programming the portal not to close yet until he was in it, and everyone else was doing everything they could do to get him in. "I am a god!! You cannot hurt me!" He shouted over the shooting and grunting of the lie gamers as they tried their hardest to push him in. Suddenly, after the front line punched one last time, I threw smoke bombs/ anything else I could find in my belt that was useful. The smoke covered his vision just for a little while, but it gave us enough time, I ran up to where Diana, Kal, and J'ohn were positioned to get a better signal with the boom box, but then it all went wrong.

As Savage began to fall, his arms had been randomly moving out of control, and that is when he grabbed Diana's leg. She shouted as she was dragged down into the portal, but I didn't think about anything except her. I jumped towards her catching her hand, but I got pulled down as well. Next thing I know, I'm holding onto the edge of the portal. I look down to see Diana kicking Savage until he falls down into the deep abyss and can no longer be seen. Diana looks up at me with tears falling from her eyes and she quietly says, "Bruce... Let go, you can't hold both of us." I ignore her comment as I see Clark peer down. My hand is crushing the boom box, and since it has already been damaged it begins to change places below. It becomes light then dark then blue skies, then red lava. We could end up anywhere if we fell right now, and we wouldn't have a clue where we were.

"Bruce, drop the box and grab my hand." I looked from him to Diana. There was no way I could let go of the box without letting out of Diana with the other hand. "Clark, keep everything together, and don't let anything go wrong." I looked at him sternly in the eyes. "I'm not leaving you Diana, not now not ever." I said as I looked into her fearful eyes that stained with tears. Then I plummeted with Diana into the darkness.

As we fell I saw the leaguers getting tinier and the light getting darker. I was still holding Diana's hand as we fell deeper and deeper into the portal. There was nothing I could, I was as powerless as a bird was with broken wings. There was no flying out of this hell, but only into it.
