Chapter 22

Sky's POV

***out of hospital****

SMASH! Well I guess we have to buy another mirror. "LUKE SERIOUSLY WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH YOU!" I yell. He has been in a bad mood all day, and he takes all of his anger out on me. "Sky just freaking leave me alone." He says slamming the door in my face. "Fine." I mutter. "Fine with me I'm going to Ashley's, I'll come for a suitcase later." I yell. He then opens the door. "Wait sky-" He try's grabbing my wrist but misses when I pull my hand away. "I'll be back on Monday, You need space and that's what I'm gonna give you." I say. I grab my phone, wallet, and put on my jacket as I walk out the door. I call Ashley, and she answers on the third ring. "Hey girl! What's up?" She says. "Um do you think I could stay at you pr house this weekend?" I ask. "Yeah sure, but why?" She asks. I start my car and put on my seatbelt. "Uh me and Luke had a fight, and I don't really want to be in the same house with him, he said he needed space then tried to pull me back and here I am." I say. I back out of my driveway and I drive to Ashley's. "Oh okay, anyway I am gonna have a serious talk with him, happen to know who would have a hammer?" She says. "Uh no, but I'm here I'll see you in 2 seconds." I say hanging up. I walk to her front door, I didn't even press the doorbell when the door opened. I jumped. "DUDE DONT SCARE ME LIKE THAT!" I say playfully slapping her arm. "Whatever, come on." She says pulling my arm. "Hold on girl the only way to get over a fight is..." She runs to her fridge. "ICE CREAM AND MOVIE NIGHT!" She says. She pulls out the vanilla ice cream and I grab cookie dough. I try to go and grab a bowl but she pulls me back. She walks over and grabs 2 big spoons. "We are doing this hobo style, what movie do you wanna watch?" Ashley says. We look at each other and say together "Mean Girls." After we get situated with the movie, my phone rings. I look at the caller ID and it's Mikey. When I answer the phone, it sounded nothing like him. "Luke?" I say confused. Ash grabs the phone out of my hand, and yells "BOY YOU BETTER BE SORRY ABOUT WHAT YOU DID TO SKY CUZ IF YOU ARENT IM GONNA GET A HAMMER AND-" I grab the phone back before Ash breaks my phone. "Luke what do you want?" I ask. I was relieved but also annoyed that he called me. "Just look out the window." He says. We were upstairs so I was confused. "Oh my god Luke I swear if you climbed that tree I swear to god-" I hear a knock on the glass, and we both turn to look. He has a guitar. We open the slide doors and he starts singing. "Tell me where your hiding your a voodoo doll cuz I can't control myself. I don't wanna stay I wanna run away but I'm trapped under your spell and it hurts in my head and my heart and my chest and I'm having trouble catching my breath. Would you please stop loving me to death?" "I'll get back to you after the movie Luke, and don't think its a bad thing." He closes the doors and climbs down. "Now where we're we?" I say. "Movie night." Ash says.

I wake up not in Ashley's room. I look around and I see it is Luke's. I go downstairs to no one being down there. "Boys!" I say loudly. Then arms wrap around my waist and I jump. "Don't freaking scare me like that, and why am I not at Ashley's?" I ask. "She had a family emergency so I came and picked you up." He try's to kiss me but I pull away. "Hey Hemmings don't you think your off the hook yet." I say. "Look Sky remember in the hospital when I said if I am mean to you again to punch me?" He says. "Yeah why?" I say. He lifts up the side of his shirt and there Is a bruise. "Ashley punched me." He says. I poke it lightly and he flinches. "Sorry, but I still want an explanation." I say. "You know how girls go on there well you know- but I was just In a bad mood for no reason, and it happens sometimes. And I am really sorry." He says. I don't answer him, but I kiss his cheek to let him know he is off the hook. "Hey Sky guess what." He says. "what?" I say. He pulls out a box and says "Happy birthday!" "Oh my gosh I forgot about my own birthday," I snatch the present. "Haha open it!" Luke whines. It was really light, but when I opened it there was a piece of paper. When I turned it over I swear I almost tackled Luke. It was a adoption paper for a puppy. "Oh my gosh, Luke THANK YOU!" I hug him tightly. "Where is the puppy?" I ask. "I will be right back." He runs off and a little Yorkie runs into the room. "AWWW it's so cute!" I say. "What do you wanna name it." He says. It's a girl. "How about Maya?" I say. I pick up Maya and I kiss her nose. Best birthday present ever.
