A week. That's how long Sephiroth laid on the black leather sofa in his office. His desk, which sat just a few feet away, was over flowing with paper work he was reluctant to do. He watched as a whole stack of paper tilted and fell to the floor, but he didn't even care.
He heard no word from Cloud. Not a single word. He couldn't have left Sephiroth to change the past himself, could he? Was the blond that cruel? Of course he was. That was the only explanation. Cloud was sitting in the Lifestream watching the silverette struggle. That little bastard.
A knock at the door interrupted the generals fantasies of killing Cloud in the most painful way possible. "Seph! I've come back with more paperwork," Zack sang as he bounced into the room. "Oh, diggin the new look."
Sephiroth looked down at himself. He was wearing black skinny jeans and a loose gray sweater. Nothing like what he usually wore. "Thanks," he mumbled back. With a wave of his hand the silverette sighed, "You can put the papers anywhere."
Zack stared at the mess on the older mans desk...and on the floor...and sitting in random piles around the room. "Okaaaay," Placing the papers on top of what looked like a report on weird sounds coming from Hojo's labs (when aren't weird sounds coming from Hojo's lab?), Zack spun back to the droopy general and placed his hands on his hips. "Okay big guy, who's the lucky lady?"
"What?"
"Who's got you down in the dumps like this?" Zack jumped at him and yelled. "And why haven't you told me about her?"
Sephiroth was quiet for a moment then smiled, "He'd punch you in the face if he heard you called him a lady."
Zack's eyes widened before he broke into a huge grin. "Oh, it's a boy? That's cool. But why don't I know about them!" The younger man cried.
Sephiroth sighed, "It's a pretty recent thing. And it's not even like that."
"Yeah right 'it's not even like that'." Zack said as he put air quotes around what Sephiroth had said. "This boy has taken ahold of your heart! Oh! I have to go tell 'Geal. He's not going to believe this!" Zack squealed as he ran for the door.
The silverette just groaned and threw his back against his couch. "We're not even friends! I'm pretty sure he hates my guts." This stopped the ravenette. He slowly closed the door he had swung open in his excitement.
"He hates you?" Zack whispered. "What did you do?"
Sephiroth just shook his head, "It's a long story."
Zack's big glowing blues eyes, which where usually filled with cheer and playfulness, were now filled with pity. "Come on Sephy. I'm gonna buy you a drink, and you're gonna tell me all about this guy."

Okay, this is the next chapter. I'm sorry it's so boring and blah. My inspiration is currently hiding from me somewhere. I have yet to find it. Anyway, I was going to post this last night, but I didn't get home until late.
I have no clue what I'm doing or where I'm going with this. Oh, and get this! I had no idea what I was going to do with Cloud. But I have finally decided what I'm going to do with the adorable little blond!! Poor Cloud :'(
