Chapter 7

After i woke up in the nurses office Derek told me what the doctor said and then took me out to eat. After we finished eating derek looked at me like he wanted to ask me something, but he never did. i didnt ask hime about it cause i didnt want to get on his nerves, i mean the guy did just buy me food. We walked to his truck and got in. I turned on the radio to country and sang along to the songs that came on. i almost forgot he was sitting right beside me in till he spoke. " you really have a nice voice." I looked at him and laughed. " i used to do it a lot.." he looked at me then back the road.

" why dont you do it now?"

" stage fright, and after my dad "

"tomorrow night lets go somewhere"

" but you have a game mr. quarterback" he chuckled and glanced at me

" after the game nerd." i looked at him and asked myself why is he so perfect. he pulls in my driveway and i look at him and he looks at me. i get lost in his eyes trying to figure out how he feels, but all i see is a blank expression. He reaches over and grabs my hand and i feel tingles were he touches me and i can tell he felt them to cause he hesitated. I look at our hands than back up to his eyes . we stay there for what feels like hours, but could have been only a few seconds before my mom turns on the porch light telling me its time to go. We both pull away and sigh
of disappointment.

"thank you for today during gym and for bring me home, how much do i owe you" he looked at me like i was stupid. " go out with me tomorrow and you wont have to pay me." i thought for a second. should i go and hang out with the hottest guy in our school, or spend another friday alone in my room studing. " okay ill go with you, pick me up after the game." he smirked at me. " oh no, your going to the game with me." i signed "okay fine. pick me up before the game,and you better win mr. quarterback." " if your there we will, goodnight nerd." he stuck his tongue out and i laughed and said goodnight. tomorrows gonna be fun.

~~~~~~~~~~~~ School went bby pretty quickly, and i am currently at home getting ready. i took a shower using my vanilla shampoo. i go to my closet and out on my undergarments, i find a pair of hollister shorts and put them on. next i put my red, white, and blue shirt on and then I go back in my bathroom and blow drys my hair so it will be wavy. i decide to wear my contacts so i dont seem like such a dork.I text derek saying im ready.

i laugh at his text and grabs my bag and stuffs some extra clothes in there for tonight. Welp tonights gonna be fun...
