Hayden glanced around, spotting the infamous Roman Torchwick, going based off what the wiki from his new phone had said. "So he's the one were fighting....."
Name: Roman Torchwick
Level: 15
Title: Infamous CrookHayden rolls his neck, popping it. “Let’s get this shit done so I can those easy ass rewards.” He murmurs, following the crook and his henchman. He spotted Ruby easily, her red cape making her very visible in the dark shop. He walked to stand beside her, pretending to be reading a magazine.
Roman flicked his cigar, opening his mouth to speak. “Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a dust shop open this late?” One of his henchmans points their gun at the old shopkeeper. Hayden’s hands tightened into a fist, eyes flashing in anger as he heard the poor old man speak. “P-Please! Just take my lien and leave!” He raises his hands in fear. Hayden nudged the hooded girl, but signaled her to be quiet. “Do not interfere till they approach.” He mumbled into her ear, having to lean down to do so. She nodded, having a faint blush from a stranger being so close to her. Or was it something else…..
Our hero ignores the pinging in his noise from the new notification as he sneakily watches the scene unfold in front of him. “Shh, shh, calm down, we’re not here for your money,” He looked to his henchmen. “Grab the dust.” One henchmen opens case and removes one of several cylinders, which the group uses to take dust from the tube containers on the wall. Henchmen #1 places another case on the display of the shopkeeper’s. “Crystals. Burn. Uncut.” The shopkeeper proceeds to fill the case, as another henchmen goes for another tube, he hears the muted This WIll Be The Day song from the male and female’s direction, and the henchmen unsheathes his sword. Henchmen #2 points his sword at the female, Ruby’s, back. “Alright kid, put your hands where I can see em. You too boy.” He spat. He received no responses from either, and growled. “Hey! I said hands in the air! You kids got a death wish or somethin’?!”
He goes over to the girl and turns her around, her hood dropping the beautiful silver eyes she beheld. She wore headphones, which was obviously why she couldn’t hear him. She stole a glance at Hayden and he winked. The henchman tried to do the same to Hayden, but he just ignored him, acting as if he was death. “Dumbass kid…” The henchmen growled under his breath. Ruby removes her headset as the henchmen began to speak. “Put your hands in the air!” Ruby tilts her head cutely, surveying him. “Are…. you robbing us?’ The henchmen nodded, and the red-caped girl let a small “Ohhh” out.
Hayden licked his lips, knowing what was to come next. He pulled Mercy’s Cruelty out, getting ready to battle with the young female. Hayden sent the man through the window abruptly, earning a high five from Ruby. Roman was waiting for his men to finish the heist, when he heard the shattering of glass. He calmly motions for his men to go check it out and went back to doing what he was doing.
Henchmen #1 cowered slightly from the tall presence of Hayden, but kept a brave face on. “Freeze!” He shouted. Ruby unfolded her weapon, revealing Crescent Rose, a beautiful high-powered gun built into a scythe. She turned her headphones off, stealing a glance at Hayden once more. Hayden was focused on battle 6 of the men on top of him, slashing at each one to make them hiss and jerk back. “Little red, you want em permanently dealt with?” He shouted over the clashing of swords, and her eyes widened. “No!” Hayden nods, and just knocked the men out. Ruby returned to her own battle as Hayden fought his. His eyes were narrowed in concentration, making sure to watch Ruby and his foes. He finished his off, and smiled slightly at not having to protect Ruby as much as he thought he would.
Roman slowly clapped, dropping his cigar and crushing it as the sound of sirens filled the crisp air of the night. “You were worth every cent. Truly, you were. Well Red and….” He surveyed Hayden. “Hercules, I think we can all say it’s been an eventful evening, and as much as I’d love to stick around….” He raises his cane and opens the bottom, t reveal a rifle with a crosshair. “I’m afraid this is where we part ways.” He releases a red blast at Ruby, and Hayden grabs her. He threw up a fire wall, eradicating the red blast. When the fire wall distinguishes, Roman is seen escaping by climbing a ladder to a rooftop.
Ruby glanced at the shopkeeper. “You okay if we go after him?” But Hayden was already climbing the building as the shopkeeper nods. Hayden and Ruby landed beside each other as Roman made it to the roof himself. “Hey!’ Ruby shouts. “Persistent….” Roman mumbles, stopping at the edge and Hayden got ready to try a new technique. Having already created the new ability, he brought the skill up.
