Chapter 1

It was the summer of 2018 and Emily Allen and her family had just met at the table for breakfast and Emily Allen gets this Erie and back chilling feeling over her body "mom is the air conditioner or something its freezing" Emily's mom turns to look at her "no sweetie whats wrong" Emily replies with "i just got this Erie feeling, after breakfast can i go look round the house to see if i can find anything " her mom replies "yes but please be careful". After breakfast, Emily goes out to see if there was anything suspicious and she got close to the door at the back of the door that leads to the basement and she smells something as if it was the smell of something that had just died. she starts to slowly go down to the basement and she turns to her left and all you could hear was a very fearing scream...Emily Allen has seen a dead body and her family comes running out the house and all her family members screamed "whats wrong" and all she could do was point and her dad had been the first one to look and he says "you guys stay here" and as he sees what Emily had been pointing he automatically gets scared and screams "someone call 911"

911: 911 what's your emergency?

Dad: um yes so uh my daughter was saying she was feeling Erie and she went around the house to see what it was and she found a dead body in our basement in the back of our house

911: Okay so what's your daughters name?

Dad: Emily

911: last name

Dad: Allen

911: okay whats your address?

Dad: 256 maple avenue county lane

911: okay we will have someone be down there in a second

Dad: thank you

911: have a good day

They both hang up the phone and 5 minutes the police arrive at the Allen Residence

Officer 1 hello are you the Allen's?

Dad yes we are

Officer 1 OK so where's your daughter i want to talk to her about what she seen

Emily hello officer

Officer 1 hello is it okay if we go sit at the picnic table

Emily yes that's not a problem

Officer 1 okay great

The Officer and Emily sit down at the picnic table in the backyard and the officer starts interviewing Emily

Officer 1 okay Emily i just need you to share a quick summary about what happened okay

Emily okay so all of us had just sat down to eat breakfast when i just started to have this cold Erie feeling everywhere and then that's when i asked my mama if the air conditioner was on in the house and she had told me no and said why whats wrong and i explained to her about what happened and i told her about the Erie feeling that's when i asked her if i go see if there was anything that could have made it cold in the house after breakfast and she said yes just be careful and then after i was done eating i went outside and i began walking and when i got close to where the basement door was i could smell something that stunk as if something died that's when i opened up the door and slowly walked in and the smell grew strong and it was just horrendous and it was just bad so i walked a little bit more that's when i turned to...

In the middle of the interview Emily screams. Behind the officer stood a man about 5 feet tall wearing all black and the police officer automatically said "Freeze put your hands behind your back your under arrest" and that's when the man slowly took out a gun and then the officer yelled "get on the ground now" the police officer ran up to the man in black and the man pointed the gun at Emily's dad and fired causing the bullet to go straight into the father's heart and at this point the police officer called all units to back up and before they knew it the black guy dressed in black was gone and Emily's Father was rushed to the hospital but little did they know he was going to make it.

Emily's Pov

Dear Diary, It hasn't even been a month since my dad got out of prison and there's already so much going on. we had a normal family breakfast at the dinner table even thought i had that Erie feeling all of a sudden, but then everything spiraled downhill and i don't know whose that body was that i seen the basement but i hope my father had nothing to do with it. Not only did i see that body my daddy just got shot in the middle of my interview with a police officer and now i have to sleep in this house because I'm starting at my new school tomorrow like i cant deal with this all right now and to make things worse, I was gonna take a shower and go to the park to meet some kids because i live right near the park but not anymore because me and my mama and Stephen and Kelli have to got to the hospital to see if my father is going to be okay, ill update ya'll later as soon as i found anything out about my dad.

while they are waiting for the ambulance to come and get their father who was standing right next to Emily when he got shot so it's going to take time for Emily to get over the feeling that her father got shot in front of her and now she doesn't know if he's going to make it or not we'll just have to wait and see
