-Kali-
"So will you be sleeping in Jake's room now? Or are we still gonna have nightly sleepovers?" Colby asked me.
I just finished catching him up on what happened last night after the whole ouija board thing.
I told him all about what Jake said. About the true reason my brother interfered with our friendships the way he did.
I told him how Jake said he loved me, even back then.
"We haven't really discussed it, but I assumed eventually all move my stuff into Jake's room and stay with him. But for now I think we're still going to share your room." I said and Colby nodded his head at me.
He wont make eye contact with me. Everytime he does, he looks away real quick.
"Colbs? Something on your mind?" I asked. And he just shrugged.
"Cole. Tell me." I said, using he real name.
"It's nothing Kal. Really. I'm happy for you and Jake. I'm happy things are working out now after so long, but I just don't want to see you get hurt again. I don't want to have to see heartbreak on your face ever again. It destroyed me." Colby confessed.
"I'm sorry Colby, things are hopefully gonna be different this time around." I said smiling at him.
"Hopefully. We just got happy Kali and happy Jake back. I don't want everything to fall apart again." Colby said and I smiled slightly at him.
He cares so much.
Hes literally like, more of a brother to me than Andy ever will be ever again.
Mom always said that some friends become family, and family can become tour enemies.
"Thanks for caring about me Colbs. It means a lot." I said wrapping my arms around his shoulders.
He wrapped his arms around my back and rested his chin on my head.
"Just promise me that if at any point something starts to feel like it's going wrong, you'll come to me? Then maybe we can stop it before we end up not seeing each other for years again. I can't do that again." Colby asked me. I laughed slightly.
"I promise Colbs."
