That evening, a truck showed up with five luxury cars. The workers had parked each brand new car in front of the residence. The sleek black cars all parked in the spacious driveway. The sun's rays showed off the sleek paint.
Li Na ran her fingers along with her new all-black Tesla, the reflection of herself looked back at her. The Chu family had always loved brand new sports cars, especially when they could test the cars out on a test track.
"This is one bloody hell of a beauty," Li Na said to her brothers, the Chu family were fanatics for luxury cars. "Look at this Rolls Royce, this bad girl could outrun any of your cars" Lei Wei joked as he whistled low, his finger running along the red pin-strip.
Lei Wei had a sleek black Rolls Royce, the newest edition. Wang Yong with his black Bentley convertible. Ju Long sat inside of his newest, not even released to the public, G-Wagon by Mercedes. And Ming Hua with a classic black Range Rover.
"Oh, we're having supper with the Cullen's tonight" Lei Wei announced as the sun was starting to set. Li Na had a shiver run down her back, the picture of the Cullen's sucking people's blood scared her. "Do we really have to?" Ming Hua whined as he leaned against the Range Rover. "Yes," Lei Wei replied firmly before getting into his car.
Li Na jumped into her own car and revved the engine up. The glowing fluorescent lights filled the driveway as all the lights went on. Li Na sat calmly in her driver's seat as she fiddled with the car computer. The electric engine hummed underneath her in the silence.
One by one, the black cars exited from the house. The trees passed by Li Na as she followed her brother's on the windy roads. The feeling relaxing her. A soft glow of the sun setting in front of them as they got farther from the ocean. Trees became denser as they drove into Forks, the next town over from La Push.
The names of the towns made Li Na confused, who would really name a town after a utensil? But that is America for you. Like the strange addiction, everyone has to McDonald's or Walmart. Those two words are the epidemy American to the girl.
After a few more minutes of driving and daydreaming, the cars began to pull into a dirt road off the side. The lights illuminated the dark pathway, trees covered the stars from shining. At the end of the long winding driveway was a white modern house. A silver Volvo was already parked out in front of the house, the Chu's parked their cars around the single car.
The Cullen's house was a white and wood structure. Lots of floor the ceiling windows filled the areas, looking out to the forest surrounding. The residence was far from any other houses around, making sure no humans can see them in their natural state.
Li Na stepped out of her car at the same time as her brothers. All five of them stared upwards to the house. "Alright behave, everyone," Lei Wei said like a father scolding his children. Li Na rolled her eyes as they made their way to the steps.
The door swung opened, a tall blonde standing in the doorway. "Lei Wei, it's nice to see you again," the man said as he glided down the steps meeting the family halfway. The two shook hands as the rest of the family watched the interaction. "Come, my wife, Esme is just finishing cooking," the man named Carlisle said as he leads the family to the front door.
The inside of the house was just as modern as the outside. The white interior decor made the place much more spacious than it is. An American football game was playing on the television, the sound was just background noise. A few of the family members, which Li Na could not remember their names, stood around in the house watching them walk by.
As they entered the kitchen, three people were standing in the open concept kitchen. An older looking women in her late twenties looked up and smiled at the family as they entered. "If you don't remember me, my name is Esme, I'm so glad you guys could make it," she said with a smile on her face. She had the motherly vibe going on. There was a girl sitting at the counter, her dark hair covering her face. "I don't think you guys met Edward and Bella when we were in Italy," Esme said as the girl with dark hair turned around. She was definitely human from the looks. She stood out like a sore thumb in the house full of pasty white vampires.
"Um Hi, I'm Bella" the girl gave a small wave as she looked at the family of five. The tall male standing next to her smiled back at us, "Edward" he said as he looked at everyone. Li Na figures the two were dating from the looks of it. It looked like an odd couple though from Edward being a flawless vampire and Bella a flawed human.
"These are my other adopted children, Alice, Rosalie, Emmett, and Jasper" Carlisle gestured the children who entered the kitchen behind the Chu family. Each one gave a wave or a smile back to the family when their name was called. The haunting gold eyes stared back at Li Na, making her look down at her heels.
"It's nice to meet you all again, these are my siblings, Ju Long, Wang Yong, Ming Hua, and Li Na" Lei Wei introduced his family to the Cullen's. Each one gave a "hello" to the vampire family. "Alright dinner is ready," Esme said as she began to guide them to the white dining table.
"Bloody hell, do they actually eat like normal people food?" Li Na whispered to Ming Hua as they took a seat next to each other. The human girl named Bella sat across from Li Na, she looked down at the plate as Li Na stared at her back. "We don't actually eat real food, but we do know how to cook," Edward said in reply to Li Na's muttered comment. "dually noted" Li Na laughed as the vampire boy chuckled at her humor.
The first few minutes of the dinner was silent, Li Na picked at her food on the plate, not feeling hungry. "So how was the flight over?" Carlisle asked finally breaking the tension in the room. "Not too bad, especially with our private jet," Wang Yong said as he looked up to the blonde. "I'm sorry but I love your shoes. where did you get them?" The girl with the pixie cut hair asked Li Na. her head snapped upwards looking at the girl. "oh, they are L.K Bennet's. I think I got them for one-ninety-five pounds in London" Li Na stated as she remembered when she had purchased these shoes. "Well I love them, we should go shopping together" Alice gushed as she had found a new shopping buddy who could afford the luxury products. "of course, I don't know any of the shopping places, so you can show me," Li Na said being polite to the girl. Alice sent her a big smile showing off her pearly whites.
The rest of the dinner went on like that, with small chit chats. The awkward tension was not as tense when the dinner had first begun. Bella, the girl that Li Na kept looking at, she gave Li Na a weird feeling. Maybe it was the boney structure of the girl or maybe how socially awkward she is in group situations, but somehow she had Edward wrapped around her finger. The boy always looked at her as if he knew what she was thinking.
"I have a question," Li Na asked all of the sudden, it even shocked herself. All of the eyes went to her, waiting for this question. "do you guys like have powers as vampires, but cause I feel like someone is in my head" Li Na asked as the feeling of someone listening to her thoughts, was pissing her off. Carlisle laughed as she asked this, "Yes something like that, we like to call them gifts but I guess they are like powers". Li Na crossed her arms as she was right about her assumption, "so who has the minding reading power?". Edward smiled as she looked directly in his eyes, "you got me". "does anyone else have powers?" Li Na asked the other vampires in the room. "I can see the future" Alice piped up with a smile, "we'll be good friends". "I can control people's emotions", the one named Jasper said. Li Na nodded her head as she listened to the new information about vampires. "so do you guys burn in the sun, and does garlic actually do anything?" Li Na questioned about usual tales of vampires. "We sparkle in the light and garlic does nothing," Rosalie said to Li Na's antics.
"So from what I have read on the Nine Son's of the Dragon is that Ya Zi was a warrior and he scared the common people but other than that, there's nothing about it," Carlisle said as the siblings stood in the study. Li Na leaned against the bookshelf, her arms crossed in front of her body. She listened to the information about what they were given, a spirit who lived inside of them, which is a very angry spirit.
"Do we need to worry about any other supernatural creatures?" Lei Wei asked Carlisle. "Well on the reserve, there are werewolves. Be careful in the forest" Carlisle said as he looked to Chu family. The five of them nodded their heads in understanding. Huh, werewolves, Li Na thought.
Li Na went to bed that night with the sound of a wolf howling. She cuddles herself into the covers and she closed her eyes. Her dreams were filled with Paul and his beautiful face.
