We return to our protagonist and her new companion. Conversing with Chloe and Professor Rowan about what the two will go through. From Gyms, to cities of interest, to where one should start...Which was two routes and a town away.
Chloe chuckled at the sight of May holding her new companion. It was cute, and she was proud. "Now, I don't want you to have a hard time for your first proper journey. Sooo I'll let you hitch a ride." She said, plucking a Pokeball from her bag. "Flurry will get you to Jubilife, somewhere more your level." Seems she had this planned from the start. That glint in her eyes says so.
A Pidgeot appeared from the Pokeball, stretching its wings. "Ooooh man! It's been a while." The bird yawned, her voice held a pep in it as she looked up at the three. "Oh hi!" "Hey there Flurry! I need you to get my friend May to Jubilife City. Can you manage that?" Chloe asked, watching as the bird's eyes lit up. "Yes! Yes I can do that!" She hopped up and down. "Alright, thank you. May, she'll take you right over. Hope you like fast flights!" Chloe patted May on the back, watching as the blonde looked nervous. "Woman, I haven't gone by air in a while. She doesn't even have a harness or anything." She muttered. Chloe snickered. "You're riding the old fashioned way. Better have a good grip." She nudged May with her elbow. May turned to her Turtwig. "Sorry Everest, you're gonna have to go in your Pokeball, I can't risk you falling." She explained, Everest nodded in understanding before being put into his Pokeball. "Alright, all aboard the Flurry Express!" Chloe said dramatically, posing with arms outstretched toward the Pidgeot, who giggled from her trainer's enthusiasm. "Alright Alright, calm down. I'm getting on." May said with exasperation, climbing onto Flurry's back. Her chest felt tight as she held on. "Well...Thanks Chloe. And it was nice to meet you Professor RowaaaaAAAAA-'' She exclaimed as Flurry took off, picking up speed quickly. Chloe waved to the fleeing figure. "Have fuuunnn!"

Flurry landed near the Pokemon Center of Jubilife City. People yelping and stumbling to get out of her way. "And we're here!" She chirped, sitting still to allow May to slide off her back. "Phew...Thanks Flurry." She sighed in relief, fixing her wild hair. "Ooo! Chloe might have snacks for me! I gotta go, enjoy your adventure!!" She beamed before taking off once more, nearly knocking May over in the process. She had no time to reply as Flurry had already up and gone. "What a bird." She chuckled. Taking Everest's Pokeball out of her bag, she decided to let him back out. He deserves to see the region too. The Turtwig appeared at her feet, looking around the bustling city. "W-Where are we?" He asked, his voice nearly getting drowned out by the chatter. "Jubilife City. This is where our journey truly begins, little buddy." May explained, flashing him a warm smile. He seemed to perk up a bit at her words but didn't say anything more as she crouched down to pick him up. "Now, let's see...Where to go now." She muttered as she shuffled past the busy folks. Man, Jubilife was active today. She walked past an alleyway as she looked down at Everest. "Hey, do you think we'll ever make it to the-" She began, but was cut off as someone bumped into her, causing her to tumble onto the ground. "Hey!" She huffed, looking up at the blind fool who needed to watch where he was going. She saw a tall, average looking man. He wore a brown trench coat and had short, yet well kept hair. "So, so very sorry. Here, allow me to help you up, poor stranger." He said as he extended a hand. May blinked, taking a second to process after falling flat on her ass. She soon accepted his help, grabbing his hand as he pulled her up. He then seemed to take notice of the Pokemon held in her arm. "Ah, a trainer! How exciting it must be for you- even though you seem older than the other..- But no matter!" He went on as he reached into his coat pocket. May was bewildered at how fast this man's tone changed. Talking to muttering to normal talk once again. "As an apology for bumping into you on my very important mission, you may have this!" He said, handing her a green jewel cut like a diamond. "Oh?" May looked at it closely, held gently between her thumb and index finger. "It's a Grass Gem! A very helpful item that will help your little friend. It'll break after it's used though, so be careful." The man explained. "Now, I must go back to my mission! Good luck you trainer!" He took off into the city...
