Chapter 6: Unami

"Unami... No Unami don't leave me... No...Get away from that rope!" I woke up and breathed hardly.

Unami, my best friend, was a Qoel too, same like me ,her parents left her at the age of three, they broke the law of the Qoel, she spoke Japanese and I spoke English but we became best friend due to the same life we had. Sadly, Unami gave up her life at the age of 10 as she couldn't stand the torturing from the world.

Sometimes, I will dreamed about her, singing her own song while looking at her standing on a chair and hanged herself with the rope. I can saw her smiling saying ,"ありがとう、ナタリーしかし私はそれを作ることができないようです。"(Arigatō, natarī shikashi watashi wa sore o tsukuru koto ga dekinai yōdesu.) "

Unami was my first and the best friend in my whole life.

We were both bullied at the school of humans.

Every year, every month, every day, we only felt the pain, torture and hate.

Her Aunty looked after her that's why she called her mother, but her aunty did not have a husband, so she did not had a father.

I had no parents to love me, but I was strong enough to endure the pain,torture and hate from the humans. We had that life since 4 years old, nobody can change it until we were 13 years old.

Unami, couldn't stand all her sufferings, so she chose to gave up her life.

I remembered the day before she died, she came to my deserted little hut and played with me as usual.

She was looking at me every second I didn't not know what she was thinking.

" Unami, why are you looking at me like that?" I asked as I moved my body from her sight.

" Nat, you are more than a best friend to me. I treat you as my own sister. Please do promise me, to live a longer life, I will always take care of you, just a another place. Nat, you are everything to me." She patted my head softly with her left hand. I can feel the temperature in her palm, it was warm like my mum.

"Ok! I will always listen to  sister Unami!" As I lifted my lips up and showed her my tiger tooth.

She squared down and hugged me. " You must always be strong ." She hugged me tightly as I felt a watery feel from my shoulders. 

" Don't cry sister Unami, I promise,I promise! "

"Hook hook!"As she put out her palm,three finger shutted and the tumb and the pinkie finger up.

"En!" I did the same and in that moment, a promise was founded...

To my horror, she left me all alone and a piece of letter for her so called mum.She also left a promise which was founded between her and me...

I never smiled from that onwards, until I met him. I gave out my trust once again. My hope, my happiness, my friendship and my smile! In the end, I got nothing except hate and dullness.

I had accepted my life, to be dark and cruel to myself.

The only thing was that I couldn't forget them the betrayer and my sister Unami.Sister Unami I won't pluck all the grass out from your backyard again, I won't steal any bread again, I wont throw stone at the fishes in the pond again. You can scream at me, scold me or even bit me. I just want to hear your voice again...
