Reborn After Horror

Chapter 10

Birds were flying in the air and chirping cheerfully. Squirrels were jumping up and down in the tree branches while little birds caught worms for their netlings.

I arose and rubbed my eyes with my fingers. My silver hair was messy and it was shining under the sunshine. I was in my black suit instead of my cool pyjamas. I looked around the room and saw the window opened. Seemed like I didn't closed the window when I came in.

I stood up to get my white towel which was folded on my desk. I went into the bathroom and took off my smelly clothes. I stood under the shower and and opened the shower tap. I grabbed a bottle of aloe vera shampoo and washed my silvery hair. Water soon dripped onto my face and body, I felt refreshing and clean. So, it was a brand new day.

"Howl~" The whirring of the hairdryer released the silent air out of the window. I wore my uniform and pinned my magic wood badge onto my uniform. Fortunately, the badge will only be seen by Qoels who had the badge of the black Qoel's killer's market. I took my black backpack and put it on my back. and hang my old headphones around my neck.

As I walked towards the door, there was a broken mirror lying on the wall besides the door. The uniform was a white shirt inside, long sleeves with gold buttons which were navy blue in colour wearing outside, a sky blue ribbon on the collar,short grey shirts and long white socks, ending up with black leather shoes with a hoop and a loop. The reflection of myself was printed onto the mirror. My eyes showed up red in the mirror instead of purple.

"An ugly uniform."

"Creak, clink!"

The air is suddenly rent by the sound of breaking glass. Breaking glass almost never heralds anything good.

"I hate mirrors." As sound waves from my headphones sent a bomb to the broken mirror. It was now all shattered in pieces.

"Nat, my mum bought a mirror. You can look into it. Your reflection can be seen in the mirror!"As the little boy handed a mirror with the sides of golden decorations to the skinny little girl.

" So, this is me?"

"Ya, you told me that you don't really know what yourself looks like so here is a mirror for you to look in."

"Red eyes? I have red eyes and silver hair!"

"I have them blue. Your eyes are beautiful."

"Thanks. I'm so happy!"

The memories irritates me and I broke the mirror. Unlucky me...

I kicked all the shattered glasses away and used the elevator to get down from the tall building. The person waiting for me was Kakashi. It was still very early. He must had waited for me to come down for a long time.

"Mico, good morning!" As kakashi waved his hand at me as I approached him.

"Good morning, brother." I waved back to him and pulled his arm.

Kakashi followed me the whole way with a lot of question marks on his head. We arrived at a barber shop and I had requested to give my brother a haircut.

Kakashi sat down and stayed quiet as I cut his long hair. The scissors seemed to be dancing to my beat as I used them.

After 20 minutes, he got a brand new hairstyle which made him a handsome star.

"Wow, cool! You have nice hands Mico!"

"Burger?"

"Thanks, Mico!"

He gobbled the beef burger up as a hungry wolf. I bet he had not ate his breakfast as he was not in his uniform.

Red eyes... He was too relaxed that he had forgotten to change his eye colour into navy blue. He was always acting like a little kid.

"Brother, you forget to change your eye colour."

"Really? Thanks for reminding...wait what?" As he looked at me in a terrified way. He looked panicked immediately.

"Mico,listen to me, I'm not lying to you on purpose. Please I'll explain!"

"That's ok. I forgive you."

"Thanks for forgiving me,Mico!"

I looked at him for a few seconds and insisted him to follow me to a dark corner. It's about time to tell him.

"Mico,are you alright?"

I turned to him and undo the spell. A pair of red eyes replaced my purple eyes ,accompanied with a strong breeze of cold wind .

The burger was dropped on the ground, Kakashi was glaring at me holding nothing but bread crusts on his right hand, his sweat came dripping down his neck, he was extremely shock!

I approached him and held onto his hands," Brother you remember sister Unami? She died a long time ago. She's dead. She hanged herself with a rope. I'm her best friend and she treated me as a sister since I was young. Before she die, she told me to look for you and I found you. I'm really sorry to let you hear this but knowing the truth sooner will heal your wounds faster."

"Sister ..." As he got on his knees, tears rolled down his cheeks to his neck, and absorbed by his cotton shirt, his eyes were watery without shutting. This was a nightmare for him. The death of his beloved big sister will destroyed him if he was not strong enough to stand against it.

"Stand up, endured it. Your sister is my sister. You still have you little sister, me, in your life." As I knelt down and gave him a hand.

He looked into my red eyes and bit his lips. He stood up and threw himself into my arms. I patted his back and comforted him.

"The world won't leave you alone."

"Why?"

"We're the same, aren't we?"

Those words were spoken out from my mouth and I promised you will never be disappointed, I'll never be like you, Jack! I'll snatch that book of Qoels from you when I'm stronger.(Jack is Carlos)

But...

Never did I knew, the betrayer was just a few metres away, hiding behind a tree...
