(Third person POV)

'Hyuck'

'I gotta go'

'I have to meet up with Taeyong'

'I'll talk to you later, I have to go'

These were the words that Donghyuck had heard for the past two months, the only words stopping him from being able to have a normal conversation with Mark. He hadn't even seen his boyfriend in a full two months unless they passed in the street or through FaceTime; he was always with Taeyong, 24/7, and Donghyuck didn't like that.

He wasn't jealous, he knew that Taeyong was only trying to help Mark. But he felt lonely, insignificant, like he was less important than the stupid song Mark and Taeyong were working on.

All of this led up to the moment Mark and Donghyuck were on their third FaceTime call in two weeks, both boys quiet as Mark worked silently on his lyrics and Donghyuck watched him through the screen.

"Hey, Mark..."

Mark looked at the screen, surprised by the sudden noise when Donghyuck started to speak.

"What's up?"

Donghyuck sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Can you at least talk if we're gonna be on call, there's no point if you're not going to talk to me"

Mark frowned slightly, looking back to his work which might've slightly annoyed Donghyuck. "I'm sorry....I have to get this finished and I work better when it's quiet...if you don't like it, you can end the call-"

"You'd rather stop talking to me than not be able to get your lyrics done?" The younger said quietly, but still loud enough for his phone to pick up. Mark's eyes widened slightly.

"N-No! Thats not what I meant-"

"Do you love me?"

"Yes, but-"

"What's more important to you, me, or your song?"

To be honest, Donghyuck expected an answer, no matter how quiet, but the one thing that fully triggered his short temper and clear anger issues was the fact that Mark didn't respond, but instead turned away from the screen and back to his work. Donghyuck scoffed, gaining Mark's attention again.

"You know what?" The younger started, "Fuck you. I've tried to talk to you so much throughout the past few months and I've got nothing in return, because all you care about is this goddamn song and it really shows what your prioritise. I'll not distract you, carry on doing whatever the fuck you're doing, I'll end the call. Don't text me. Don't phone me. Have a nice day, Mark"

"No, Hyuck, please-"

And with that, Donghyuck ended the call, clutching his phone in his hand tightly before all hell was let lose; the boy broke down in a fit of tears, throwing his phone at the wall and pulling aggressively at his hair.

The sudden noises gained the attention of his mother, who came rushing out of her bedroom and quickly sitting next to her son, pulling the boy towards her and just hugging him tightly, holding his hands and pulling them away from his head.

"Hyuck...talk to me..." She whispered into her son's ear, gently running a hand through his hair to calm him down. Ms Lee knew all about her son's anger issues, in fact, she was the one who was always there to stop them. Her and his younger sister, who had moved with her school friends, were the first few people to notice Donghyuck's violent tendencies when he gets overly mad, and these had only worsened overtime, which was the reason that he wasn't allowed to move out when he wanted to.

Ms Lee hushed Donghyuck, trying her best to calm him down as she did so many times before, and she managed....but only to hear her own heart break when Donghyuck sobbed one simple sentence into her shoulder.

"Is it really that hard to just fucking love me?"

A lot happened there, but the next chapter will go into that last part in more detail I just needed something Sksjksjsksn
