CHAPTER-2

I don't drink at all.The waiter placed the water in table and went.Someone called my name and so I looked towards the direction to see my father was the one who called me.

I walked towards his direction.He took my hand and lead me towards the stage.

Everyone's attention was on us, but I didn't lift my head.

"I am very happy that everyone is present here.My daughter Victoria Harlow here is getting engaged to Mr.Phoenix Wilson. "

Oh,so his name is Mr.Phoenix Wilson. My gaze was still on the ground.

"I am very happy to get an honorable man as my son in law."With that he gave my hand to another person.

His hands were rough ,strong and huge.I never saw his face and I am not going to see his face.He must be more than 6 feet since I am very much smaller than him even in heels.

He slid a Diamond Rose Gold ring along my finger and it was perfect.

My dad gave me ring and I slid it in his finger.Everywhere there was applause.

I am now engage to guy that I knew his name a few minutes ago whose face I still don't know.My life is really going awesome(note the sarcastic tone).Is this how my life is going to be?

With that we got off the stage and he spoke to my father.His voice was very much deeper than I thought would.

After talking my dad left me with him alone to talk with people.Now I am standing alone.The tension between us is all over the air.

"Are you happy with the marriage?" he asked crossing his arms.

Should I say the truth or lie to him?I was silent.What should I say?

Before I could speak he said"Of course you are.You are a gold digging wh***.You are very much happy to be married to a billionaire bachelor. You are same as all the bi**ches ".

What the hell?Before I could reply he left and went....

What is happening here?

Tears formed in my eyes.I never thought a person whom I barely met would think about me like this.And this person is my fiance.Before I could break down in tears I ran towards the restroom.

I should not let anyone hurt me.But words mean a lot to me.

We can manage this Victoria,Don't worry.

With that I retouched my make up a little bit and came out confidently.I can feel eyes on me.I turned around to see if someone was looking at me but no one was.

I started walking towards my father,that is when my step mom stopped me in the middle.Oh good,lord save me!

"So,Engaged to a billionaire "She said venomously while holding a glass of champagne in her hands.I didn't speak a word because I know that if I speak some problem will happen here.

"Don't forget that you are still pathetic stuttering bi*ch who no one cares."

I didn't speak anything but my gaze was on the floor.

"Do you think you are beautiful in this dress,you b**ch?You are ugly fat wh*re who killed her own mother. "

I have had enough ,my eyes started to form tears again.

"NO!!! I..I..I dd-didn't " I yelled a little bit an before I could finish the sentence my step mom poured the champagne on my face.

Everyone one saw it and I was very much embarrassed.How could she?

"You deserve this b**ch" she said while my father came running towards us.

"What happened ?"my father shouted.

My step mom again started speaking before I could.

"This ungrateful b**ch said that I killed her mother and said that I am gold digging wh*re"

what?what the hell is happenening here?Is she turning the tables towards me?

"No fa-father.I didn't say th-those wo-words .She came and started that I have.... "before I could finish my father slapped me in front of everyone.

My eyes were swollen and I could feel the hand print he has given me in the face.

"Don't speak a word"he shouted and asked everyone not to pay attention to the 'drama' that I have created.

How could my father believe my step mom than me?I could rather die than living with these abusing people.With that I ran out off the hall and called for the driver

He took me to the mansion.

I ran inside crying my eyes off.Is no one in this world going to believe me?Is no one in this world going to love me?Is no one in this world going to care for me?

Why mom?Why?You could have taken me along with you?I would have been happy if you took me along with you.

With that I slept in the bed thinking of my mother smiling,her talking with me.
