"veronica woke up to the sun in her eyes, and her trying to cover them, she hit someone or something with her elbow."

-

veronica walked into the school, all short-tall and mighty.

she didn't know what time it was, so when she saw the nearly empty hallways, she sighed. she was (fashionably) late, like always.

veronica walked to the office, signed in, and got a late pass, but she wasn't even that late, so she didn't fuss about it.

veronica's first period is ap english on the second floor, so she headed there, which would make her a bit more late.

once she got there, she handed her teacher, mr. k, her late pass and made it to her seat.

she wasn't really paying attention to what mr. k was saying though. she heard a few phrases like, "we're writing today," and, "you'll need a partner."

what she was paying attention to was about that one night stand she had and jughead, which was extremely weird, since veronica never even glared at jughead unless they were arguing, which wasn't that frequent.

"miss lodge," mr. k hovered over veronica to see what she wrote, which startled her. "you haven't written anything."

"sorry. i will now." veronica stammered, writing anything just to get mr. k out of her hair.

after writing which seemed like 5 words, veronica looked up to see jughead's head turned to her, and his chair turned to the right.

"what jones?"

"do you pay attention in class, or what?" jughead snickered, earning an eye roll from veronica. "anyway, mr. k asked me to check what you wrote."

"oh." veronica said silently, handing jughead the paper. he skimmed through it in one second, confusion showing in his face.

"you only wrote 1 sentence, which was, 'weird nights, don't remember what was going on.'"

"no shit." veronica snatched the paper from out of his hands.

"are you trying to do poetry?" jughead asked out of the blue.

"i don't really know what i'm doing, okay? if you want to help me, you can." veronica shrugged. she just wanted jughead to turn back around and ignore her.

"well firstly, try to figure out what you're doing, like poetry, or a story."

wow. such great advice. veronica said to herself sarcastically. how am i supposed to know what i want to do when i don't even know what?

"just, sleep on it." jughead tugged a smile at his lips, turned him and his chair back around to the front, and picked up his pencil to revise his work.

veronica thought about it for a minute. would she really take forsythe pendleton jones the third's advice?

she quickly shook that idea from out her head as soon as she thought about it. never in a million years.
