"this boy was kissing onto veronica with eagerness, trying to touch every part of her body to make sure he was hers, and nobody else's."

-

well, that was a lie. veronica did in fact take forsythe pendleton jones the third's advice and stayed up a little bit longer to see where she was going with her "poem."

(it's only because her friends weren't available and her dad didn't come in today like her mother told her he would.)

although, she did get stuck after she got an idea for 2 more lines for the poem.

"weird nights,
don't remember what was going on.
as i scream in fright,
i realize he's gone."

the last two lines were lies. she did not scream in fright nor did he leave, at all. she just ran out of ideas and came up with that.

now, veronica does have jughead's number and she could call or text him, but she really doesn't want to.

(she's too stubborn.)

she decides to text him anyway, only because she's literally bored and will die of boredom if she doesn't do something.

veronica

could you help?

forsythe

oh?
you've actually taken my advice?
color me shocked, lodge.

veronica

can you just fucking help me??
i'm literally going to throw this paper away

forsythe

fine fine fine
it seems like you're doing a poem, and all poems need a setting.
do you have a setting?

veronica

erm
i guess not

forsythe

my work here is done.
good talk.

veronica

🙄 bye.

forsythe

it's see you later, princess.

veronica cringed at jughead's last message, turning her phone off, and laying down on her bed.

jughead gave her that nickname just to tease her, but now, it's getting annoying. he's always trying to tease her in some way because he doesn't tolerate her.

veronica shifted her mind onto the setting of the poem. maybe it could be about darkness and satan, or a bottomless pit. she didn't really know.

in reality, the setting wasn't like that, but for right now, the poem had a dark mood, so veronica went with it.

veronica sat up, picked up her notebook, opened it up, and started writing down things about the setting.

yet, it wasn't about the setting. it was about the events that happened that night.

something crazy popped into veronica's head as she was writing it all down.

was jughead her mystery man?
