Soooo... a quick disclaimer ummm so you start with crushing on Bruce in this one but your feelings change so yeah :) Also bruce is kind of a little shit in this and you can't stop me from doing that. There isn't any Wanda in this part it's just backstory.

Imagine: You like Bruce but you start to catch feelings for Wanda instead.

You're in the lab, working on some new weapons systems with Bruce and Tony. "I'm going out. You guys want anything?" Tony asks as he begins to walk towards the door. You lift your head up from your work. "I'm good." Bruce says, not even looking up from his work.
You flash Tony a death glare as you know what he's trying to do. You've had a crush on Bruce for the past little while and Tony found out. Now he's trying to put you two together. Asshole.
"Y/N do you want anything?" he asks with a devious smile on his face. "Tony how about I go out and get food with you?" you ask, trying to avoid the situation. "No I'm going alone. Need the mental break, you know?" he says as he gestures towards his head.
You heave a sigh as you look back down at your work. "Fine get me a(n) (insert food or drink that you are craving rn)" you say, annoyed. "Got it." he says quickly and rushes out. You look at Bruce and your heart begins to thump.
You suddenly become very aware that your alone in the room with bruce. You get very nervous. You feel yourself start to blush and you look away from him.
Just keep working.
You try to work but it's really hard to focus. The silence is killing you. Bruce doesn't seem uncomfortable with the silence though. "So, Bruce..." you start. He looks up. "Yes Y/N?" he asks. You pause as you think of what to say.
"So there's a mission tomorrow," you nod. "You going?" you ask. "Well I don't know, it sounds pretty dangerous." he answers (shocker).
"It sounds pretty fun." you say, nagging him. "Saving the elderly from Hydra isn't fun', it's dangerous." he scoffs, using finger quotes at fun.
"Well, it'll just be the big guy, not you." you laugh. "Yeah, but what if I get stuck again?" he asks nervously. " I'm sure you won't, this time you're a lot closer to all the silence. Besides, it's fun to kick Hydra's ass." You point out, making him chuckle.
And you should probably save the kids you f*cking moron. You have these abilities, don't you care about kids? Shitty little c*nt.
-Time skip 1 hour later-
You and Bruce have been sitting on a sofa, just talking for the past hour. You're really bonding and connecting with him, and he blushes whenever you guys make eye contact.
You've been nervously fiddling with your bracelet while talking to him but as the conversation went on, you became more comfortable and so did he.
The topic shifts back to the upcoming mission. "I'm just worried about you getting hurt." he defends. "It's not that dangerous, just get in, get out, knock down a few bad guys. Simple." You say. He places a warm hand on your cheek. "I just can't imagine losing you." He whispers sadly.
You stare into each others eyes for a moment, then you bring you faces closer together. You're millimetres away from kissing when- "Thor Odinson is approaching the lab." J.A.R.V.I.S announces. You pull away and stand up.
"Has anyone seen my pop tarts?" Thor asks, peeking his head in. "Uh no sorry." Bruce stammers. You shoot him a grin as you both know EXACTLY where they are. "I think Tony took them!" you reply with a smirk. "MAN OF IRON!" Thor exclaims as he rushes down the hall.
You and Bruce burst out laughing as he leaves. He pulls out a box of pop tarts from a cupboard. You take one out and pop it in his mouth, still laughing. You takes a bite of one and wrap your hands around his neck as he finishes the pop tart. You pull your face close to his and-
"Tony Stark is approaching the lab." J.A.R.V.I.S helpfully states. "Ugh," you sigh as you pull away. "Library, tonight, 6 o'clock." you whisper into Bruces ear, then get back to work. He smiles at you then blushes and looks at the floor.
"Why hello." Tony smirks as he walks into the lab. "Did you guys have a fun time?" he asks, laughing. You walk over to the door and call out into the hall "Hey Thor, Tony's in here!" Tony gives you a puzzled look and then his face goes white.
Thor enters the lab, clearly upset. "MAN OF IRON, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY POP TARTS?!" Thor storms.
