Bite Me Again Chapter 01

The cool autumn breeze blew across my face, forcing my hair to fly back.The bitter wind tore roughly through my clothes as I lay there waiting for my death.When my head regained conscious I look to my left, then my right. 'Where am I?' I thought to myself. My legs were bleeding constantly. All of a sudden a car comes in front of me. The driver honks the horn.

"Get off the street!" he yelled, with his head out the window.

I quickly scurried off the street and onto the sidewalk. I started to walk slowly on the sidewalk. Where am I suppose to go? Suddenly a heavenly scent filled my nose. It smelled like fried chicken.My stomach quickly growled.

"Fine, lets go eat," I told my stomach.

I start to walk to McDonald's.It was about a ten minute walk. The sun was very beautiful today, though it was giving me a headache. My head spun around for a while.I opened a door for a little kid while coming in. As always there was a long line. My head started aching in pain. I decided to take a seat and hoped that the line would be getting shorter. I sat there waiting for the line to get shorter but it seemed like forever. I started to fiddle with my fingers out of boredism. I began to rethink why was I on the street unconscious. Did something happen to me? This seemed to unreal, like a movie. I let out a sigh. I wonder what's my name.

I hope it's something pretty like Michelle, or Isabella. It's so weird how I remember those name but I can't remember mine. I let out a sigh.

"Lilani?" a familiar voice asked.

She probably wasn't talking to me so I just sat there. I noticed a cell phone in my pocket. I quickly opened it. Maybe I can learn something about myself.

The girl walked over and sat down across from me. "Why did you ignore me?" she asked, observing me carefully. "How did you get that cut?"

"What cut?" I said with a clueless expression.

"That cut," she said putting a mirror to my face.

I touched my scarred forehead. It was bloody to. Blood made me sick. Pain started to ooze through my head and now my body. The blood reminded me of the girl's (who was sitting across me) hair color. Red. Not the red like blood but more of an orange. She was indeed pretty as well. I could sense her green eyes piercing to mine.

"Who are you again?"

She gave me an irritated look. "Stop playing around," she responded, taking a bite out of her Big Mac.

"No for real, who are you?" I asked again.

For a while she stared at me with her head tilted her head. "I'm your best friend, Michelle," she told me while getting up. "I think we need to take you to the hospital."

"Okay, but how do I know I can trust you?" I asked curiously.

"Because, I would never hurt you."

"How do I know you won't hurt me?" I asked stupidly while walking to the car.

"Just shut up and get into the car."

I giggled a little.I got into the car and buckled my seat belt. She let me eat most of her fries. Sure, this girl seemed harmless. I mean how many dangerous people would hurt their best friend? I certainly wouldn't. I stared at the mirror over my head. My dark brownish black hair was a complete mess. I should really stop calling her "the girl" in my mind. It didn't seem right. What did she say her name was again? Mickie? Miranda? Err.. um-mm.It was Michelle Lockwood.
