Napagdesisyonan na naming ibreak ang engagement. 14 years are enough.
----Dinner----
"So what would you want to say?" mom.
"Ahh...mom let's wait for Martha." ako.
"Good evening po. Sorry I'am late." Martha. At bomeso siya sa aming tatlo.
"So Martha...What is this all about?" dad.
"Tito, I was thinking, actually napagkasun.du.an na namin ni Carlos to...pano ko ba to sasabihin?" Martha.
"What?" mom.
"We decided to break the engagement." ako.
"What?" dad/mom.
"Uhm auntie. I'm so sorry. It's just that I don't love him."Martha.
"No! You have to be marraid for our companies!" dad.
"Dad! Wala ka na ba talagang maisip kundi negosyo? Dad pano na ang anak mo? Puro ka pera!" ako. At tumakbo na ako.
Sheesh nakakabakla.
Bakit ba puro pera ng nasa ulo niya?!
(Carlos' Dad's POV)
"Anong naisip niyo?! Bakit niyo gustong i break ang engagement?!" ako. Sinisigawan ko si Martha na umiiyak na ngayon.
"Kasi po tito, hindi ko siya mahal." Martha.
"Martha, think about it for 2 months if your desision is certain, that is the time you should come to us and break the engagement." honey ko.
"But hon-" ako.
"No buts honey. Let them think it over." honey.
"Ok." ako.
"Go to Carlos' room and tell him what we were talking earlier."ako.
"Yes po tito." Martha. Pumunta na siya sa room ni Carlos.
I wasn't just thinking about money, I was worried about his future. I want him to have a good future.
