Making friends

"If you would please fasten your seat belts please. We will be landing in approximately 20 minutes. Thank you for flying with American Airlines. We hope to see you again." The flight attendant spoke over the intercom. Doing as told I fasten my seatbelt and put my headphone back in and let my music overtake me and my wandering mind.

A short 25 minutes later we had landed and everyone was exiting the plane, me following suit. I exited the plane and made my way through the airport and outside to hail a cab.

"Where to?" The cab driver asked as I slid into the cab.

"Free land hotel." I replied with the hotel that I made a reservation at on the plane.

A long dreadfully quiet cab ride later we arrived at my hotel. I crawled out after tipping the driver and made my way inside and towards the front desk.

"Checking in?" the lady, Macy her name tag stated, asked.

"Yes, Olivia Anderson." I spoke to Macy and she started typing.

"Alright. Your room is 317. Here is your key and your welcome packet." She smiled while handing me all my paperwork. I took it and made my way to my room.

I jolted awake and sat straight up. I looked around the room and realized that I wasn't home anymore and I let out a breath of relief. I checked my phone on the table next to my bed and saw that I was 2 in the afternoon. I must of been very tired considering I went to sleep around 12 last night when I got here.

I got out of bed, walked to the bathroom and started the shower. I stripped out of my pajamas and hopped into the shower letting the streaming hot water hit my sore body. After completing my shower I stepped out and wrapped a towel around my body and went and sat on the bed. I grabbed my phone and went on twitter like I do every morning. Not even a minute later my stomach let out a very loud grumble.

"Well I guess I'll go eat." I said to myself. I got up and threw on a ripped pair of blue jeans and a nirvana t-shirt. I grabbed my purse and jetted out the door.

"Ms. Anderson." Macy said front behind the front desk as I walked past her

"Yeah?"

"Your aunt dropped these off for you." She smiled while handing me keys.

"Thank you so much." I smiled knowing exactly what it was. When I was at the airport I texted my aunt that I was coming out to LA and she pretty much begged me to let her buy me a car for out her, she wasn't taking no for an answer. I walked out and in the parking lot was a brand new matte black Dodge charger. Gahhhhh I love my aunt. Once I got in the car I pulled my phone out to text my aunt.

I hit send and drove off down the street to find something to eat. I decided on In N Out. Probably because I've never had it. Once I got my food I was just driving around the city to see what there was when I saw a nail salon. I could use a manicure and pedicure. I pulled in quickly and parked.

"Hello, what can we do for you today?" A lady asked from her nail station.

"Uhhh. pedi and a full set." I spoke.

"Alright go ahead and have a seat in that chair." She said pointing to the only open chair. Doing as I was told I went and took seat where they do the pedis. The two girls next to me were laughing when one of the turned to me.

"Hey, I know this might be really weird but can I ask you a question?" The brunette asked me

"Uhhh yeah." I smiled

"Okay, at my house, we are all in a prank war and I want to prank my boyfriend, would it be taking it too far to make him believe that I got kidnapped? But like just disappear and hide somewhere in the house." she explained.

"I think it might be a little too far but it would be funny." the blonde voice.

"I personally think it would be pretty funny. Just make sure that he doesnt like call the cops or something drastic" I laughed

"Then that settles it. Im going to do it." she smiled. "Im Devyn by the way."

"Kat." The blonde introduced herself.

"Olivia."

"You are really pretty." Kat exclaimed.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"You are very welcome."

"I know this might be weird that we just randomly started talking to you." Devyn stated.

"I mean a little but I just moved here and I dont really know anyone so its actually nice to just talk to someone." I said. The conversation continued while we all got our nails done. We even exchanged numbers. I might actually like it out here.

"Hey, by any chance are you free tonight?" Devyn asked as we walked out of the nail salon.

"Yeah, why whats up?" I asked

"We are having a party tonight, you should come."

"I would love too." I normally am very shy and don't just agree to go to parties but they seem different.

"Great, I'll text you the address." Kat smiled before her and Devyn hugged me and walking towards their car.

I slid into my car and drove off towards my hotel.

"I don't know what to wear." I said throwing my hands in the air and falling onto my bed.

"Don't overthink it," Macy, who I invited up to my room once I got back to the hotel, walked over to my clothing and pulled out a pair of white ripped jean shorts, a baby blue off the shoulder blouse and my leather jacket. "This is perfect."

I grabbed the clothes from Macy walked into the bathroom. I quickly changed out of the mini dress I had on and into the cloths that Macy had picked out. I walked out of the bathroom and looked in the mirror.

"You look amazing." Macy gasped

"Thanks." I blushed.

"Now, put these on and get going its already 10." Macy said handing me a pair of black gladiators. Doing as my new friend said I put on the shoes and grabbed all my things and left with Macy right behind me. In the past 5 hours since I got back to the hotel Macy and I have been hanging out, she was getting off work as soon as I walked in and since I needed a female to help me get ready and Devyn and Kat not available to help I invited Macy. We are the same age, she's going to school to be a fashion designer, and from what we talked about she is pretty cool.

"Text me if there is any cute guys, but most importantly, have fun. I know that this is out of your comfort zone, but be you." Macy expressed as she hugged my standing at my car.

"This is way out of my comfort zone but hey, I came here to start a better life and that starts with getting out of my comfort zone, or so I've heard." I laughed and hugged her back before getting in my car and driving towards the address that Kat had sent me.

About 20 minutes of driving through LA I had arrived at my destination. It was a bg white house with tons of cars outside and music blaring. I grabbed my over the shoulder handbag and got out of the car while locking it. I walked up to the door, that was open and walked in, not even five seconds later Kat runs up to me.

"Hey, you made it. And You look great by the way." She exclaimed while hugging me. The people out here a definitely huggers, back home, you'd be lucky if someone even made eye contact with you. "Come meet my boyfriend and our friends." she said and then pulled me through a maze of people before coming up to a group of guys standing with Devyn, in the kitchen.

"Oliviaaaaa." Devyn sang as soon as she spotted me and ran up and hugged me.

"Everyone, this is Olivia. Olivia this is my boyfriend Sam, Aaron, Devyns boyfriend Corey, Elton, and Colby." Kat introduced everyone.

"Hi." I smiled towards everyone
