Off course I wasn't going to allow him to go unprotected. He means to much to me to allow that. So I quickly change out of my pajamas, grab my hat and coat at the door and climbed out the window. I stood on the ledge and saw Bucky exiting the building. I spread my arms and lean forward.

The wind on my skin as the pavement got closer to my feet was exhilarating. I land on the pavement with grace and without making a noise. I pick up speed toward the alley and pushed hard of the ground. I grabbed the edge of the next building and pulled myself up.

Bucky suddenly stopped and looked up toward the building and I quickly duck down. Phew, that was close. I sit against the wall and waited for him to start walking again.

We moved here to Bucharest to stay out of the "spotlight", but I can't keep him locked up. So here we are. I started moving again making sure not to cast my shadow down below.

He arrives at the fruit stall and started picking at the fruit.

"How are they? Are they good?" His Romanian accent is flawless. I must say it's kind of attractive. "Give me six, thank you." Okay it's down right sexy.

I see him looking across the street and a nervous look appears on his face. I jump over to the next building and see a twenty-something vendor at the news stand watching him. Bucky looks away but the vendor keeps looking at him. I can hear the vendor's heart beat quickening, that's when I realise he recognised Bucky. He runs from his koisk.

I made my way to the alley side of the building and jumped down. I followed the vendor.

"I saw him." I cut him off from his phone call by crushing his phone.

I grab his face and stare into his eyes. "You will not remember you ever saw him, now get out of here."

I turn around to see Bucky who caught up to us. "I didn't get to him quick enough." I look down in shame. "Sorry Bucky."

He placed his hand underneath my chin. "It's okay babe."

I look into his eyes and I just felt this overwhelming urge to protect him no matter the cost. I mean he is the reason I am alive. "For your protection, I'll go home first."

"I love you Sarah Elizabeth Darling and that will never change."

I kiss him on his cheek and grabbed his hand. "Let's go home."

When we arrived at our building, I motioned Bucky to stay put. I climbed up the wall. When I got to our floor I signalled Bucky to enter. I looked up toward the window that's when the familiar smell hit me.
