The Game Plan

I sat down as Sydnie took over and started making a game plan.

Sydnie: okay so we're about to test how smart or oblivious Jonah really is
Jack: he's pretty oblivious
Sydnie: okay but we don't know that yet
Zach: yes we do
Jack: his girlfriend cheated on him and he took her back
Daniel: she could potentially just do it again thinking he'll always take her back
Jack: pretty damn oblivious to me
Sydnie: okay this is gonna be harder than I thought
Corbyn: so you don't have a plan?
Sydnie: no I do it's just gonna be a little complicated now
Zach: complicated? Who do you think I am Einstein?
Sydnie: oh my gosh when I say complicated I don't mean it's a lot of work
Zach: oh then we're good
Sydnie: I mean we're gonna have to be more harsh or blunt with him
Daniel: sounds easy to me
Sydnie: but still drop hints
Corbyn: still sounds easy to me
Sydnie: okay fair enough now Zara
Zara: oh lord
Sydnie: you're parts a little different
Zara: someone save me
Sydnie: so basically you're gonna be the one to ask about Alyssa
Zara: of course I am
Sydnie: so you're gonna have to act like you care. Ask how his relationships going and that gross stuff I know you're not gonna wanna do
Zara: you are correct I 100% don't wanna do this
Sydnie: come on Z
Zara: I thought they were supposed to have the complicated parts
Zach: no no no I requested minimal effort
Jack: come on Z it's not that bad
Sydnie: yeah really even if he doesn't end up with you at least he won't be stuck with her
Zach: but he's gonna end up with you so no need to worry
Zara: I can't believe this is happening
Daniel: come on Zara
Corbyn: it won't be that bad
I looked at each of them for a minute and thought. They were right. I didn't wanna see Jonah with her for another second, but I hate the idea of all his best friends trying to break them up. The least we can do is just make him realize who she is. Whatever.
Zara: okay fine I'm in
Zach: aye
Daniel: woo
Sydnie: okay good Jack where's Jonah
Jack: he should be here any-
Jonah: hey guys
Jack: second
Well this is just great.
Jonah: what's going on and why do you guys look like you're doing a ritual?
Sydnie: nothing we were just talking about how we wanted something to do
Corbyn: where'd you just come from?
Jonah: oh Alyssa and I went out
Daniel: out where?
Jonah: arcade
Corbyn: wait which arcade?
Jonah: the only one in town
Corbyn: well I was kinda hoping you took her to one somewhere in I don't know San Francisco
Jonah: why is it so bad I took her to the arcade?
Daniel: cause that's like our arcade dude we're the originals of that place
Jonah: guys the arcade doesn't have our names on it anyone can go
Daniel: I know but that's like our place to let of steam, that's our chill spot Jonah we've been going there since we moved here
Zara: okay why don't we change the subject?
Zach: hehehe
Sydnie: not now Zach
Zach: sorry
Jonah: it's not like I'm gonna take her there again she didn't even like it
Jack: wait what?
Corbyn: why not
Jonah: cause it was "boring"
Zara: what is she talking about its literally the best place on earth?
Daniel: yeah it's like our other home
Zach: yeah and since our other home is boring she's not welcome in it
Jonah: Zach it's fine like I said I just won't take her there. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to get food
We watched as Jonah walked into the kitchen and I looked at them.
Sydnie: well we'll take turns Corbyn you first
Corbyn: what why?
Sydnie: cause you have a successful relationship and you have wise words now go
Corbyn: okay fine
He walked into the kitchen after Jonah while we all waited here. It makes me wonder how long it's gonna take for this to work
Zara: do you guys really think this is gonna work?
Sydnie: hope so
Zach: it better, he deserves you
Zara: thanks little bro
Zach: no problem
Daniel: and now we wait
I was kinda concerned about what Corbyn was gonna tell him. In fact I was concerned about what everyone was gonna tell him. I don't even know if this will work, but it's worth a shot I guess...
