Daniel's Turn

I walked over to Jonah honestly excited to talk to him about this. Yeah I still like Zara, but she deserves the best and so does Jonah so it's only perfect to get them together. So I walked next to the game Jonah was at and leaned against it and looked at him.

Daniel: hey JoJo
Jonah: dang it you made me lose
Daniel: oh boohoo
Jonah: and don't call me that only Zara calls me that
Daniel: oh really?
Jonah: yes really. So whatcha want?
Daniel: I'm just letting you know now that everyone saw you and Zara talking
Jonah: what?
Daniel: everyone can actually see through those windows Jonah
He looked through the window and saw that you could see in his car. He turned around and sighed.
Jonah: so your point is?
Daniel: what were you talking about?
Jonah: just Alyssa stuff
Daniel: specifics please
Jonah: I just asked her like two questions
Daniel: which were?
Jonah: I asked if she ever liked Alyssa. Like since day 1
Daniel: what'd she say?
Jonah: she said no
Daniel: yeah I'm not surprised
Jonah: wait why?

I was ready to be so straight up with him. I would say anything to defend her.
Daniel: because she was so fake to her. May I remind you when she met us, all she did was question Zara
He didn't say anyway just kinda stood there.
Daniel: she asked how you knew her and if you were friends or really good friends. That should've been your first clue. You and I both know the only reason she asked those questions was because she didn't want Zara around you
Jonah: yeah I see that now
Daniel: okay what was the other question you asked?
Jonah: I asked her if you guys had liked her since day 1 or not
I paused for a minute scared to see what Zara told him. I really hope she was honest and said we didn't. I was so taken back by it, I stuttered unintentionally.
Daniel: w-what did she say?
Jonah: she said no
I let out a sigh of relief and turned to the side for a second.
Daniel: thank God
Jonah: uh why?
Daniel: cause that's the truth Jonah. She gave us the fakest smile and fakest attitude. It was so surprising you didn't see it. And I know that you know she doesn't like us
He didn't say anything at first.
Jonah: how did you know that?
Daniel: cause you never bring her around. The only time we ever saw her at all was Zach's birthday we never saw her once after that. The only people that did were Zach and Zara and that was at the mall.
Jonah: bro I'm really sorry
Daniel: you don't have to be sorry Jonah. You didn't do anything wrong. It's just stressful watching you go through this
Jonah: so what do you think I should do?

This was it. This was the moment where I could be the third person to tell him this.  I wasn't gonna be ashamed of it whatsoever.
Daniel: honestly?
Jonah: yeah
Daniel: I think you need someone more like Zara
His face completely changed. I couldn't tell what he was feeling though. He didn't look annoyed, or sad, or mad, or irritated. He also didn't look happy, or excited, or anything. I was so confused.
Jonah: you really think so?
Daniel: yeah if not someone like Zara, then go for Zara herself.
And that's when I saw it. His face changed again. He looked kinda satisfied with the thought of it.
Jonah: you're not the only one who's said that
I just acted shocked obviously knowing that I wasn't.
Daniel: really?
Jonah: yeah
Daniel: oh well, glad to talk to you
Jonah: yeah thanks it actually helped. It feels good to tell you what happened
Daniel: no problem bro

I left him with the biggest smirk on my face and pulled Zara to the side.
Zara: damn Seavey
Daniel: don't start Herron
Zara: so what happened?
Daniel: all I'm gonna say is by the end of this whole thing, he's yours
Zara: what?
Daniel: who's talking to Jonah last?
Zara: out of you guys Zach, out of everyone me
Daniel: okay what I'm saying is I'm pretty sure by the time we've all talked to him, including you, he's gonna have some sense in him
Zara: then?
Daniel: date you Zara, then he's gonna date you
Zara: you think so
Daniel: I know so. The face be made when I told him he should date you said it all
Suddenly she had the biggest smile on her face. She wrapped her arms around me and gave me the biggest hug. I was so happy for her. It was like everything was starting to fall into place for them.
Zara: thank you so much
Daniel: of course, anything to see you happy
