Roleplay starter for a 1x1 Apocalypse. Written in 2017 with my old character in Serenity.

A girl around the age of 17 stood in the middle of the squadron. Her hair was braided on both sides and then firmly pulled back into a high ponytail. Her name was Serenity, a high ranking student in the academy. She was also the squadrons leader.

She watched the rookie approach. She's heard quite a few rumors about him. The most popular and sensible one being he was a new generation of infected. But assuming he was cleared off since they allowed him into the academy. She just wondered if he's heard rumors of her. She is quite renowned in the academy, so there's been a lot of gossip.

Her black eyes took him apart. Curious about what he could possibly give the group. They already had a nice team; now they had him. Someone they knew nothing of, let alone his skills. As far as they know, he could be as helpless as chicken with its head cut off. If that was the case she would put him into shape quick. They didn't need dead weight on this team.

She straightens up to her full height of 5'2. Her hands closed behind her back, and her face set like stone. She neither smiled nor frowned. Her posture seemed serious, which made sense. She was a very serious person but also very calm. Serenity was groomed to be a good leader.

"Kazuki, was it? Welcome to the team rookie. My name is Serenity Newman, I'm your new squad leader. Probably the first from what I understand. Now I'll have you understand that you'll be treated like everyone else here despite your /Special/ circumstances." She said in a monotoned voice. The soldiers beside her stood straight up, dead still. Sometimes they would cast quick glances to Kazuki. They seemed robotic.

Though that was only when they were in front of company. It was almost like Serenity was trying to impress someone. Anywhere else the team seemed to relax.

"Now for a while, we won't be permitted to go outside the walls for any real training. At least not until you get your bearings. So we will be sticking to simulations and other courses. I sure hope you have high endurance, rookie. Besides I wouldn't let my team go out there without knowing you first." She stated, shifting from one foot to the other. Almost unnoticeable, but a habit she's seemed to have adapted to.

"As you might have already guessed, you're not well trusted. Or liked for that matter. So we need a foundation of at least trust; that way we can work together and have fewer casualties." It was true, what she said. They needed to trust each other. It's better to be cautious about your enemy, and not also be concerned about their allies. If that happened, something unfortunate could occur. She should know.

"And if you give me any reason not to trust you, I will dispose of you where you stand." She told him. It was partial lie; she would be stripped of her title if she did. She would just turn him in and let her authorities dispose of him for her.

"Also you can shoot a gun right?" She inquired. She would assumed so since he has been out there for God knows how long. Then again, he could have been playing hide and seek with the infected. Not likely, but possible. Serenity would hope he has, it would make things go much smoother and quicker for them.

"I would assume they've also given a tour, if they haven't I guess I should have to." She prays they have, but she never can tell with the higher ups.
