"Nick, what the hell? my parents are sleeping." she practically yelled at him

"well then shut up, they'll hear you. do you mind if i hide in here for like 5 minutes?" he asked her

"um i guess not" she said looking into his dopey brown eyes. He flipped his hair and pushed it out of his face.

"thanks, ill be out of here in 10 minutes tops."

Morgan was about to make a comment about why it was now 10 minutes, instead of 5 but she didn't need to start another argument.

"just be quiet, okay?" she said in a somewhat annoyed voice "who are you hiding from anyway?"

"parents. tried to sneak out, they set a fucking alarm."

"oh my god. my mother is going to kill me if she finds out."

"that's why she wont" he replied with a smirk

"wont your dad know your here? where else would you go?" i asked him my heart beating a hundred miles an hour

"Morgan Elizabeth Miller, i haven't spoken to you since 8th grade. My parents wont expect me to be here. They think you're a goody-two-shoes for god sake." he said with a smile

"please don't call me that" she said suddenly remembering the reason they were no longer friends and why they hadn't spoken in 4 years.

"don't be like that Mor. I'm sorry about eighth grade."

"You cant just say sorry and then it magically be okay. We were best friends and then you just changed. You sped into popularity and left me in the dust. But even worse when you won the race you came back to flaunt your trophy."
