The young girl sat there crying her eyes out. She cried for many reasons. She cried because she was tired, because she was cold, but she cried mostly because she still loved him after all the things he did. She still trusted him after he broke her heart so many times before. 

She expected him to come back, crying his eyes out saying he was upset and it was all a lie. She imagined he'd come in and sweep her off her feet. She knew it would never happen and that everything he said was true but it was still nice to think about. She thought about everything he said including the whole surprise-a-really-hot-guy-you-used-to-be-best-friends-with-but-then-stopped-talking-to-you-is-now-secretly-infatuated-with-you thing. She decided that that was the one and only thing jake had lied about. After all denial is the best coping mechanism.  

As she walked home she pulled out her phone and called Nick in tears. She had absolutely no idea why she called him of all people. She still had his number in her phone after so many years and she couldnt believe he hadnt changed it. Although suprised she was glad he hadnt. 

"hello? Mor, where are you?" he asked before she could even say anything

"I'm near a park but i dont know where, and i'm really scared and he left. he left, nick." 

"Okay, I'll find you okay? Can you see any street names?"

"um, i dont now let me look." After a moment Morgan told him she was near an Orbitan Rd.

"Okay, I'm gonna come get you okay? stay on the phone with me okay?"

"Okay." she managed before bursting into tears again

After a few minutes Nick arrived at the Ridgely Tot Lot near Orbtan Rd, to find Morgan sitting on the curb with makeup running down her  face. Nick jumped out of the car and raced towards Morgan.

"Mor" He whispered "I'm so sorry. I should have never let him... I'm just sorry okay?"

Nick put his arm around morgans waist and led her to the car. He opened the car door and Morgan got in.

"The others said they could get rides home and i beat the crap out of Jake." Nick said trying to fill the silence. "Do you want me to take you home?"

Morgan nodded in silence.
