"Mor I really am sorry, but don't you get how much pressure there is to fit in, especially in high school? I was stupid I know but i truly honestly am sorry."

Morgan didn't respond instead she there sat in silence reading and Nick played some songs on his IPod. Even though, he had ear buds in, Morgan could still hear the song he had on repeat. He was playing "Drops of Jupiter" by Train. They listened to that song everyday when they walked home from school, until 9th grade started.

After about 10 minutes of silence, there was another knock on the window, this time much quieter.

"that's my ride." Nick said quietly. You could tell he didn't want to go. He stood up, pulled up the shade, opened the window and climbed out the window. "ill be there in a second" he said turning to his friend.

His friend walked back to the car parked outside Morgans house. Nick faced Morgan and Morgan stood up and walked to the window.

"walk home with me tomorrow?" he said

"i don't know." Morgan replied hesitantly

Nick, finally understanding how his former best friend felt turned around and walked to the car with a disappointed look.

"i forgive you." Morgan whispered as he walked away.

"Is that a yes?" Nick turned around asking. There was a huge smile on his face.

"maybe." Morgan said still slightly scared of getting hurt

"You know something Mor? You're fucking gorgeous, you're just too uptight. you need to learn to live a little." Nick said

"is that so?" she asked with a laugh not knowing if she should be flattered or offended

"yes, now put on some pants and comewith us right now missy"

"i dont know. I'm not really friends with your friends and my par-"

"stopp, live a little" Nick said slowly

"okay" Morgan said grabbing some pants and shoes
