Wednesday and Thursday go by quickly and before I know it it's Friday again. I have no idea what to do this weekend and I hope Chloe changes her mind and stays here with me instead of going to that stupid party. It's already 7:00 in the evening and I've only left this room once today; to shower. Maybe I can text Jacob and see if he wants to hang out.

Jacob is this boy I met in my music class yesterday and I can already tell he could be a great friend. His very funny and isn't bad to look at either. He has pretty, ocean blue eyes and perfectly cut dirty blonde hair. His height reminds me of Mason and I can't decide who is taller. I guess I'll never find out since Mason will be forever avoiding me. I t's probably better this way.

My mind begins comparing how different Mason and Jacob are. My first interaction with Jacob was much more polite than Mason has ever been to me.

I still can't wrap my head around yesterdays events of seeing Mason and Brianna together, touching. What made it worse is he didn't even show up to History today and now I know for a fact he will do whatever he can to avoid me. But why? That's what I don't understand.

I pull out the chair behind the desk in middle aisle, third row just as someone appears to be doing the same in the desk behind me. That's weird, no one has ever sat there before. It must be a new student, but why would he join one week after class already started? I turn my head the tiniest bit to see who it must be and notice it's the boy who sits in the far back corner of the classroom. Or sat back there at least.

He notices me observing his actions and his face flushes, "Is it alright if I sit here?" He asks for my permission and I'm instantly thrown off. Mason would've never asked for permission, he would've just sat there regardless of my opinion or say.

"Um, sure.-," I start and he immediately smiles and sits down behind me, -"you know you didn't have to ask me. It's not like there's assigned seating." I giggle at his shyness.

"I know, but your boyfriend looks pretty protective over you and wouldn't want any other guys near you." He laughs but has a serious tone. Who is he talking about? He must be mistaking me for someone else, and just as I'm about to ask him who he's talking about he says,

"The guy that sits next to you, to your right. I don't know his name, but-." I cut him off before he goes any further,

"Mason? No he's not my boyfriend, we're not even friends. He's just some annoying asshole that likes to bother me." I state.

"You should tell him to stop then." As if I haven't already tried. It's no use with Mason though, we somehow always find each other.

"Anyways, I'm Jacob." Jacob finally introduces himself and waits for me to do the same. His blue eyes look trustworthy and I don't feel the need to be a sarcastic bitch to him.

I return the smile, "I'm Cheyanne."

And that's how I met Jacob. After class we talked for a few minutes about our classes and professors so far and exchanged phone numbers. Just as I'm about to send him a text message my mother calls me and my thumb automatically hits the green phone symbol.

"Hello?" I say but it comes out as a question even though I know well who it is.

"Cheyanne! Hi my baby, how are you? How has your first two weeks of college been so far? How's your roommate? Have you made any friends yet?" She eagerly asks and my annoyance sets in.

'My roommate is sweet, classes are fine, and oh, I brought a boy back to my room and we could've had sex but my roommates boyfriend was in here with my sweater and now the boy I brought back won't talk to me' my subconscious sarcastically replies.
